Temperatures and conditions of use

The usage temperatures of the Softie 6 sleeping bag are specified in accordance with EN 13537:

  • T-comfort: 0 degrees Celsius – the lowest temperature at which a woman can sleep comfortably through the night,
  • T-extreme: -5 degrees Celsius - the lowest temperature at which it is possible to survive in the sleeping bag. This is not a value recommended for standard use.

Paratex Steelplate construction, Paratex Light lining

The outer part of the sleeping bag is made from Paratex Steelplate fabric, which stands out for its very good breathability, effective wind protection and increased moisture resistance thanks to the DWR finish (Durable Water Repellency). This helps prevent water absorption even in morning dew – droplets remain on the surface of the material. The interior is made of Paratex Light – a lightweight, soft material with breathability of 12 l/m2/24h and good wind resistance. This construction prevents the build-up of moisture caused by water vapour condensation.

In the lower part, around the feet, reinforced material has been used, which not only improves thermal properties, but also allows sleeping in footwear without the risk of damaging the fabric. There are also two loops for convenient hanging and airing of the sleeping bag.

Softie Premier filling

The inside of the sleeping bag is made of Softie Premier – a synthetic fibre ensuring effective thermal insulation even in damp conditions. Its delicate structure provides pleasant contact with the body. The special fibre construction allows both hand and machine cleaning, without the risk of losing its properties.

YKK zip on the left side, thermal baffle

The model is equipped with a two-way zip from the renowned manufacturer YKK, positioned on the left side. On the inside, a thermal baffle has been used, protecting the material from catching in the zip slider and limiting heat loss. It is possible to connect two sleeping bags with opposite zips into one.

Hood protecting against the cold

The shaped hood effectively protects the head against heat loss. Thanks to the drawstring used, it is possible to further reduce escaping warmth during cool nights.

Convenient transport and storage

A model that is easy to transport and store. When packed, it reaches compact dimensions of 19 x 18 cm and weighs 1200 g, so it does not place an excessive load on your equipment.

    The compression sack is indeed quite small, which may even be an advantage of the set as a whole. When packed and compressed, the sleeping bag takes up very little space, especially compared to competing brands with similar features, which is a big benefit and it easily fits in a backpack. The entire set with its cover weighs just over 1200 grams. The fabric is pleasant to the touch and the inside looks fluffy. Unfortunately, I eventually returned the sleeping bag to the shop because its price seemed too high.

    A lightweight, synthetic sleeping bag with good breathability and warmth. The material is very pleasant to the touch. The only drawback is a slightly too small compression sack, which means you have to put some effort into fitting the sleeping bag inside.
