Snugpak Scorpion 3 IX 3-Person Tent - Olive

An olive green tent designed for three people, created for users looking for a lightweight and easy-to-carry shelter. The specially designed construction reduces the impact of the wind and the floor size of 325 x 118 cm offers enough space for three people with basic equipment. In emergency situations, the tent can accommodate up to six seated people.

The flysheet is made of durable 210T polyester, ensuring low weight. This material is less prone to stretching due to moisture, maintaining its tension in varied terrain conditions. PU coating creates a hydrophobic barrier on the fabric surface, resulting in water resistance at a level of 5000 mm water column.

Rip-Stop reinforcement involves weaving thicker fibres into a regular grid that minimise the spread of potential damage. Flame-retardant material surface increases the safety of using the tent in the field.

The inner tent is made of No-See-Um mosquito net from 190T nylon, providing protection against small insects. The structure allows for excellent air circulation, reducing interior heating and increasing sleep comfort. Additionally, the model is equipped with 3 ventilation openings that improve air circulation and reduce water vapour condensation.

The floor, made of 190T nylon coated with PU layer, provides water resistance at the level of 5000 mm water column. It effectively insulates from damp ground. All seams are additionally taped, minimising the risk of leaks at material junctions. Inside the tent, there are 10 pockets for easier gear organisation.

The tent is built in the Fly First system, which means setting up the flysheet first, then suspending the inner tent. This solution speeds up the setup and preparing the shelter. The entrance leads to a wide vestibule, serving as additional storage space for equipment, protecting it from external conditions.

The construction uses a light frame made of anodised aluminium, providing appropriate stability with low weight. The set includes 20 Y-shaped aluminium pegs that enable solid anchoring in various terrain.

When packed, the tent takes up little space, and its low weight is beneficial for activities requiring weight saving in gear. The set includes a repair kit, enabling quick repairs of minor damages in the field, and a compression sack for reducing the volume of the packed tent, simplifying its transport and storage.
