Silky is a Japanese manufacturer of hand saws with a long tradition, dating back to 1919, when Katsuji Miyawaki founded the company in the city of Ono. For over a century, the brand has gained a reputation for reliability and precision, and its tools are distinguished by their exceptional quality. The saws are made of the highest quality steel and undergo impulse hardening technology, which, combined with a design intended for ‘pull’ cutting, ensures smooth operation and precise, clean cuts. In 1980, Silky patented its own saw setting process, which significantly increases the sharpness of the tools – this solution has been used in the 4-Retsume and Miraime2 models, among others. The Japanese manufacturer's solutions are used by professionals around the world: arborists, foresters, carpenters and bushcraft enthusiasts. It is worth mentioning that in 1985, the ‘Gomboy’ model was the first on the market to feature a rubber-coated handle, which contributed to it winning the prestigious Japanese Good Design Award. Thanks to the combination of traditional Japanese craftsmanship and modern technological solutions, Silky has been one of the leading manufacturers of hand saws for years.

Durable and precise, it handles every type of wood perfectly. It is compact and lightweight, so it is easy to take with you – perfect for the plot, camping, or field work.
-
The saw performs excellently – its sharp blade allows for quick and smooth cutting, even of larger trunks. The interchangeable blade is an additional advantage of this product.
-
This is a very sturdy saw which also handles larger pieces of wood well. It is very sharp and stays sharp for a long time (I have been using it for over a year). The cover is durable and protects the saw well. As the saw is quite flexible, you need to be careful when cutting quickly not to break the blade.
-
A big advantage is the plastic case and the possibility to change blades. The saw is very well made, and the shipping was lightning fast. Highly recommended, Paweł!
-
A really great saw, the Silky brand delivers... The size is very universal — it gives huge possibilities yet remains handy and light.

Top-shelf equipment. Appreciated by many bushcraft enthusiasts. In my opinion, it has the perfect size for cutting medium-thickness sticks for a campfire, and it can also handle thicker ones. Before first use, it's worth watching an instructional video – these saws do not forgive mistakes and the blade can be broken very easily.
-
The saw is durable and easy to use. It has no problem cutting even larger and thicker branches. It works great as a backup for an axe. I definitely recommend it.
-
The saw is solidly made, and you can feel the high quality in your hand. It performs excellently when cutting. It's an essential piece of equipment for every outdoor and travel enthusiast. As always, lightning-fast order fulfilment by Militaria.pl – recommended!

I have been using the Silky Gomboy Curve 270-8 folding saw in the garden for a week and I am delighted with it. Japanese precision and solid workmanship make a great impression. Really excellent saw!
-
This saw surpasses my previous supermarket one – it's fantastic. It cuts quickly and smoothly, and easily dealt with a dry pine about 20 cm in diameter.
-
The saw is very lightweight, so it doesn't weigh down the backpack. It has a thin blade, which makes it easier to cut through even thick branches. It cuts very well and stays sharp for a long time.
-
The equipment is very durable and compares much better to my previous saw. The price reflects the quality, although it's worth waiting for a promotion.
-
I bought the saw with the intention of cutting wet wood, mainly fruit trees. The manufacturer guarantees such use and indeed the saw works great. The packaging confirms this as well. Typical for Silky – it practically cuts by itself.
-
The saw works excellently! Remember that Silky saws cut when you pull them towards you, so you mustn't use too much force when pushing. Let the saw do the work – it will do its job on its own. Ideal for those who value comfort and high quality. The price may be higher, but it's worth it.
