Excellent quality saw blade, hassle-free replacement of a damaged item. The product is really durable and the previous one broke only due to improper use. I highly recommend it, tested in demanding conditions.
Silky F180-14 saw blade, made of premium Japanese steel. It was additionally coated with a layer of chrome, which protects it from corrosion, wood sap, resin and other harmful external factors.
The cutting edge is both hard, strong and flexible, which prevents damage to the blade when making cuts. The impulse-hardened teeth are characterized by a long service life. They are set in four planes. Thanks to their precise sharpening, they stand out with a smooth surface, which means the saw does not wedge.
There are 14 teeth for every 30 mm of the blade. The cutting part has a characteristic hourglass-shaped cross-section, so the resulting surface after cutting is smooth and free of jagged edges. One of the teeth is directed upward, which speeds up the discharge of swirls. The patented MIRAI-ME technology allows cutting in three planes: transverse, longitudinal and diagonal. The blade is suitable for seasoned wood.
The blade should be stored in a clean, dry environment.

Silky is a Japanese manufacturer of hand saws with a long tradition, whose origins date back to 1919, when Katsuji Miyawaki founded the company in the city of Ono. For more than one hundred years, the brand has built a reputation for reliability and precision, and its tools stand out for their exceptional build quality. The saws are made from top-grade steel and undergo impulse hardening of the teeth (impulse hardening), which, combined with a design intended for ‘pull’ cutting, ensures smooth operation and precise, clean cuts. In 1980, Silky patented its proprietary saw setting process, which significantly increases tool sharpness – this solution has been used, among others, in the 4-Retsume and Miraime2 models. The Japanese manufacturer’s solutions are used by professionals from around the world: arborists, foresters, carpenters and bushcraft enthusiasts. It is worth mentioning that in 1985 the ‘Gomboy’ model was the first on the market to receive a rubber-coated handle, which contributed to winning the prestigious Japanese Good Design Award. Thanks to the combination of traditional Japanese craftsmanship and modern technological solutions, Silky has for years ranked among the leading manufacturers of hand saws.
