Savotta Varjelus 3x2 AR15-AK Placard Panel with Magazine Pouches - M05 Finnish Woodland Camo
A green panel designed for mounting on the tactical vest Varjelus by Savotta. It is equipped with 3 pouches for AR-15 and AK magazines, and each of them holds up to two magazines. Total capacity is six magazines.
Rectangular compartments with flaps effectively protect the contents from falling out, while adjustable elastic cords allow the retention pressure to be set to the carried equipment. The model stands out for its damage-resistant construction, made mainly of durable Cordura 1000D.
damage-resistant cordura 1000d
The panel is made from Cordura 1000D, a polyamide fabric with high abrasion resistance, tear resistance, and durability under intensive use. The material remains stable during repeated magazine insertion and removal, and its stiffness helps maintain the correct shape of each compartment.
Reinforcing and mounting elements are made of polyester webbing. It is used for the buckles, loops, pull tabs, and load-bearing system attachment points. The webbing stiffens the construction and allows installation of compatible G-hook, Tubes, and ROC buckles.
The combination of Cordura 1000D and polyester webbing provides mechanical resistance, stable mounting, and proper stiffness during use in demanding field conditions.
Reduced visibility in infrared
The model features properties that reduce the signature in the NIR range, meaning near infrared. The materials, dyes, and finishing process were selected to reduce the difference in infrared reflection between the surface of the equipment and the surroundings.
Lower contrast may make it harder to quickly identify equipment during observation using night vision. This applies both to the main fabric and to visible webbing elements, whose NIR reflection properties affect the module’s overall signature.
3 double pouches with flaps
The panel is equipped with 3 double pouches. Each holds up to two AR-15 or AK magazines and features a separate flap closed with velcro and webbing. The flaps secure the magazines against slipping out. The closure height can be adjusted to the type of magazine.
Special elements are placed on the inner side of the flaps, and their purpose is to reduce noise generated when opening the velcro closures. This solution makes it possible to control how the flap is opened and reduces the characteristic sound of velcro tearing open. This matters during operations requiring discretion.
elastic adjustment cords, drainage holes, webbing loops
The circumference of the compartments and the retention pressure can be adjusted using an elastic cord. This solution allows the pouch to be fitted to magazines of different shapes and fill levels. After tucking the flap inside the compartment, the cord can be tightened and the pocket used in an open configuration. This setup provides faster access to a single magazine.
At the bottom of each compartment there are drainage holes that allow water to drain freely. Behind the flaps there are webbing loops through which an elastic cord can be routed and used to stabilise a radio or another item. In the lower corners there are pull tabs that make it easier to open the pouch, peel back the velcro, and get a solid support point for the fingers.
stable attachment to equipment
The rear of the panel is equipped with low-profile G-hook hooks and a large velcro panel, allowing mounting on compatible platforms. This combination ensures stable retention of the module while also allowing it to be quickly detached and the equipment configuration changed.
The G-hook hooks are attached using heavy-duty webbing, so they can be replaced if needed with Side Release quick-release buckles. The side loops allow the use of split QR buckles and systems such as Tubes and ROC.

M05 Woodland camouflage
M05 camouflage (Finnish M05 Maastokuvio) is a family of pixelated camouflage patterns introduced into the Finnish Armed Forces in 2005 as the successor to the M91 pattern. It was developed based on digital analysis of photos of Finnish forests taken in different seasons by the Finnish Forest Research Institute. The M05 family includes several variants, including woodland, snow, and cold weather.
The main woodland version of M05 consists of light green, dark green, brown, and dark graphite patches, effectively reproducing the structure of Finnish forests. Thanks to similar vegetation cover and terrain conditions, M05 Woodland camouflage also performs well in the forests of Central and Eastern Europe, providing effective concealment in natural surroundings.
MILITARY is a premium dealer of Savotta.
Savotta is a Finnish family company from Karstula which, since 1955, has been designing and manufacturing backpacks, bags, tents and field kit for the military, rescue services and people who value time in the field. The brand's kit has been supplied to the Finnish Defence Forces continuously since the 1960s, meeting the rigorous standards required of military equipment. Savotta builds its products with durability in mind, which is why it uses top-tier materials such as Cordura, and almost all raw materials (97%) come from suppliers within the European Union. The brand also stands out for its own proprietary solutions: the Rapid Adjustment Slider instant adjustment system, frames made from polyethylene sheets and laser-cut PALS/MOLLE-compatible attachment points. Every design is created in Finland, and all manufacturing remains within the borders of the European Union. Along with growing interest, the brand expanded production - since 2025 its products have been made in three countries: Finland, Estonia and Poland. Regardless of where a given item was manufactured, it undergoes final quality control at the Finnish headquarters in Karstula.

The velcro panel is an area with sewn-on Velcro tape that allows easy attachment of various additional items, such as patches or pockets.
Cordura is a material woven from durable nylon fibers, developed by DuPont. The structure of the material provides lightness and abrasion resistance, as well as weather resistance. Due to its properties, Cordura is widely used in tactical equipment.
