Savotta Suur-Kukkaro Hip Pack 2.6 l - Brown

Brown waist pack with a capacity of 2.6 l, made from durable 500D Cordura material. The Suur-Kukkaro model is an enlarged version of the compact Kukkaro waist pack, designed as a universal pouch for carrying equipment in EDC, outdoor, and tactical systems. The design allows for waist carry and integration with other gear elements, such as backpacks or bags.

Durable 500D Cordura fabric

The waist bag is made from 500D Cordura, which features high resistance to abrasions, tears, and intensive use. This material also has hydrophobic properties, which reduces moisture absorption and increases durability in challenging conditions. The waist belt is 100% polyester. The materials used meet NIR (Near Infrared) standards, providing limited visibility in infrared.

Main pocket with internal organiser, velcro panel

The interior of the waist bag is designed for precise organisation of gear. The main compartment with a zip closure contains flat pockets and elastic loops that stabilise small items, preventing them from moving during activity. Additional mounting points allow secure attachment of gear using cords and carabiners.

Velcro panel system allows for the use of modular organisers, increasing flexibility and interior customisation. The design also includes a flat pocket on the body side, which can hold the waist belt or integrate with other carrying systems.

The whole is enhanced by drainage holes in the lower part, which drain water and debris in tough terrain conditions.

MOLLE/PALS system

The waist bag includes straps compatible with the MOLLE/PALS system, enabling the attachment of additional pouches and accessories. Additional mounting loops on the sides and compatibility with SR buckles allow quick fastening of the pouch to a backpack or other gear elements. On the front of the waist bag is a velcro panel measuring 15 x 10 cm, enabling the attachment of additional pockets, pouches, or patches.

adjustable carry strap

The carry system includes a waist belt with a buckle, ensuring quick and easy detachment. Adjustment allows for length customisation to individual needs. The maximum length of the belt is 150 cm.

Savotta is a Finnish family business from Karstula that has been designing and manufacturing backpacks, bags, tents and field equipment for the military, rescue services and people who value heading out into the wild since 1955. The brand's gear has been supplied to the Finnish Defence Forces without interruption since the 1960s, meeting the strict standards demanded of military equipment. Savotta builds its products with durability in mind, which is why it reaches for top-tier materials such as Cordura, with almost all of its raw materials (97%) coming from suppliers within the European Union. The brand also stands out for its own proprietary solutions: the Rapid Adjustment Slider quick-adjustment system, frames made of polyethylene plates, and laser-cut PALS/MOLLE attachments. Every design is created in Finland, and the entire manufacturing process remains within the borders of the European Union. As interest has grown, the brand has expanded production - since 2025 its products have been made in three countries: Finland, Estonia and Poland. Regardless of where a given item was made, it undergoes final quality control at the Finnish headquarters in Karstula.

Cordura feature
Cordura

Cordura is a material woven from durable nylon fibers, developed by DuPont. The structure of the material provides lightness and abrasion resistance, as well as weather resistance. Due to its properties, Cordura is widely used in tactical equipment.

System MOLLE feature
System MOLLE

MOLLE (Modular Lightweight Load-carrying Equipment) is a system for attachment of tactical equipment, used for example in backpacks or tactical vests. It provides the possibility of flexible and modular placement of various accessories and pockets, which allows personalization and optimal adjustment of the item to the specific needs of the user. It is widely used by the military, special services and survival and outdoor enthusiasts.

NIR (Near Infrared Reflectance) feature
NIR (Near Infrared Reflectance)
NIR (Near Infrared Reflectance) is a material property of controlled reflection of radiation in the near-infrared (780-2500 nm) range, used primarily in tactical clothing and equipment. NIR-treated fabrics are designed to reduce the thermal emission and reflection of IR radiation, allowing the material's surface temperature to be kept close to ambient. This reduces the risk of detection of the wearer by electronic-optical surveillance systems, including night vision and infrared sensors. NIR technology significantly improves the effectiveness of camouflage in combat and low-light conditions.
