Savotta Side Pouch 8 l - Black

Side pouch in black colour with a capacity of 8 litres, made from durable 500D Cordura, valued for its high resistance to damage and abrasion. The bottom and sides of the pouch are additionally reinforced, increasing durability during field use. The materials used meet NIR (Near Infrared) requirements, which means reduced visibility in the infrared spectrum. Secured with a zip that provides easy access to the contents.

Covered zip, vertical stabilising strip

Covered zip provides additional protection against moisture, dirt, and abrasion. A vertical strap on the front keeps the backpack’s compression straps in the correct position, enabling their effective operation when reducing the volume of the load. The design is complemented by a drainage hole at the bottom, which allows water and debris to escape in field conditions.

25 mm tape loop, D-ring

At the top of the rear inner wall there is a 25 mm webbing loop and a D-ring, which allow you to securely attach small, valuable items. The flat rear compartment provides simple and functional organisation of smaller accessories.

The rear section features a PALS attachment system with tabs, allowing integration with MOLLE-compatible accoutrement.

PALS system

PALS (Pouch Attachment Ladder System) is a modular mounting system for pockets and pouches, used in the MOLLE system. It consists of horizontally sewn rows of 1 inch (25.4 mm) wide, fixed spacing webbing (such as on a backpack) and vertical webbing for attachment and threading (on a pocket). This system is usually equipped with snaps, which further secures the pinned items.

NIR (Near Infrared Reflectance) is a material property of controlled reflection of radiation in the near-infrared (780-2500 nm) range, used primarily in tactical clothing and equipment. NIR-treated fabrics are designed to reduce the thermal emission and reflection of IR radiation, allowing the material's surface temperature to be kept close to ambient. This reduces the risk of detection of the wearer by electronic-optical surveillance systems, including night vision and infrared sensors. NIR technology significantly improves the effectiveness of camouflage in combat and low-light conditions.

    Excellent quality side pouches which I own multiple sizes and colours of. The 8L pouches are fairly large and they only just fit onto my savotta jaakari L the 6L would maybe be a better option on this pack but I wanted as much space as possible to store my airsoft kit. I recommend adding a little bit of paracord to the zippers so its easier to find them as they do tend to get tucked in behind the fabric.
