Salewa Brenta RDS Jacket - Faded Green

The trekking jacket in Faded Green protects against adverse weather conditions. The model was designed for everyday wear. Its refined construction ensures full freedom of movement and proper breathability, which increases wearing comfort. The jacket meets strict environmental standards confirmed by the RDS certificate.

The outer and inner layers are made of 20D nylon with a grammage of 41 g/m2. The material is characterised by low weight, while the applied arrangement of reinforcing fibres limits the risk of possible tears spreading. The fabric contains no harmful PFAS compounds. The soft taffeta lining enhances wearing comfort, and the material used is certified to Bluesign.

The outer material is coated with a hydrophobic PFAS-free DWR finish. The finish limits saturation of the fabric surface, so water droplets remain on the outside and run off the material more easily instead of quickly penetrating its structure. The coating supports protection against light rain, snow, humid air and accidental splashes.

Insulation is provided by duck down with a composition of 80% down and 20% feathers. The 550 cuin fill power defines the down’s ability to regain its volume after compression. The insulation is distributed in quilted chambers. The chambers create a segmented construction whose layout helps retain warmed air while preserving the material’s flexibility. The stitching stabilises the down and limits its shifting during use. This solution helps maintain an even distribution of insulation across the front and back of the model.

Natural down provides a favourable insulation-to-weight ratio. The jacket can be easily packed into a rucksack, bag or luggage, and after unpacking, the fill regains its volume. The down is marked with the RDS certificate, which confirms compliance with requirements concerning the sourcing of down and feathers as well as animal welfare.

The full-length main zip is protected against moisture penetration. All seams are fully taped, which translates into maximum tightness and durability of the construction. The hood with a visor shields the face from rain and wind, while the adjustment option makes it easier to adapt the fit. Velcro cuffs and an adjustable drawstring at the bottom improve wearing comfort and effectively reduce gusts of wind.

There are 2 zipped pockets on the sides. They provide a secure place for a phone, keys, documents, gloves and other small items. The pockets can also be used to warm your hands. The zips reduce the risk of the carried contents falling out.
