This classic penknife looks fantastic and has a unique character. The materials and build quality are outstanding for this price. I purchased it for carving – the blades are very thin, making them perfect for precise tasks and for everyday carry. When working with wood, they bend slightly, they are delicate, and it would be useful if they were a little thicker. After regrinding, the blades perform great with linden wood, but with harder types of wood I would worry about their durability. After trying it, I would now more eagerly choose the Cold Steel Stockman with slightly thicker blades. Recommended for fans of the trapper style.

The Rough Rider Blue Smooth Bone Whittler 440 is a folding knife that is a beautiful reference to the classics and the beginnings of pocket knives. Great finish, comfortable – definitely worth having in your collection!
-
The penknife is very solidly made, I definitely recommend it.
-
The penknife is of average build quality and edge retention, it has three almost identical blades, a fairly small size, but it stands out with high rust resistance, a reasonable price, an elegant look, and ultra-thin blades that cut like razors and have interesting ergonomics.
-
Great appearance, very solid workmanship, the blade is exceptionally sharp – like a razor.
-
The penknife is compact, comfortable, and works perfectly as an extra or backup blade for smaller tasks or emergencies. It deserves the highest rating.
