Flecktarn is a traditional German military camouflage design that the Bundeswehr officially adopted in 1990. This pattern consists of small, irregular spots in five colors—customarily dark green, olive, brown, black, and beige. With its scattering of dots and the blurred edges between colors, Flecktarn efficiently conceals the wearer's silhouette in wooded areas, scrubland, or against forest undergrowth backdrops.
