I have the same model, but in black, and I probably won’t choose shoes from this brand (Demar) again. At first they were very stiff and took a long time to break in, but now they’re comfortable. Unfortunately, the upper at the front of the foot sits low, and the rivets by the eyelets for the laces are not well secured, so they can press on the top of the foot if you tie them tightly. The heel is well protected against abrasion. The sole is comfortable, but completely flat and not very suitable for terrain. The leather is good quality, but after less than two seasons of moderate use, they started coming apart slightly at the sides. Despite treatment with beeswax, I rate their waterproofness 3/5. The shoes look great and have nice leather, but the lacing system does not have a lock, so you have to use a lot of force to lace them up well. With some improvements, they could be great at this price. It's a pity.
Protektor Grom Unique boots - Gray
Trekking footwear in Gray, made of durable nubuck leather. This model features a breathable teflon membrane and Ana-Tech and Shock Absorber technologies. A soft fabric collar around the ankle minimizes the risk of abrasions. The reinforced upper, combined with the molded sole, effectively protects against mechanical damage.
Teflon membrane
The breathable teflon membrane effectively wicks moisture away from inside the shoe while blocking water from entering, ensuring long-lasting wearing comfort.
PRT Flex sole
The anatomically contoured PRT Flex sole, with a raised front and rear, is equipped with an off-road tread and a Self Clean system that effectively removes water. This ensures excellent grip on various surfaces. The construction is based on high-quality rubber and PU, which guarantees flexibility, puncture resistance, antistatic and anti-slip properties. The material is resistant to oils, gasoline, organic solvents, and acids, and can withstand short-term contact with surfaces at temperatures up to 180 degrees Celsius.
Ana-Tech and Shock Absorber technology
Ana-Tech technology provides an expanded heel surface and greater contact with the ground, effectively reducing the risk of injuries such as ankle sprains. The Shock Absorber system relieves joint stress and helps maintain proper body posture.
Quick lacing system
The quick lacing mechanism allows for easy and convenient shoe fastening while preventing accidental untying. The gusseted tongue protects against debris and moisture from entering the shoe.

The shoes are excellent. Very comfortable, perfect for winter in our climate. Of course, they’re not suitable for the shower – there are other shoes for that, like flippers. Together with warm socks, they make a great winter set. They’re also good for chilly autumns and springs. They were tested in various terrain conditions during regular walks and passed the test. I don’t know how they would perform in extreme wartime conditions – and I hope I never have to find out. Be careful when choosing the size – Protektor often fails here. Other models from this company I have in size 44, but here I had to buy 43.

The shoes are very comfortable, the sole grips the ground well even in winter. The downside is that your feet sweat quickly in them and your socks get wet. If it wasn't for this issue, they would be fantastic because they are comfortable, look good and are reasonably priced. Despite this, I still recommend them.

They look better in person than in the photos. Unfortunately, they’re not waterproof – I tested them in the shower, simulating light rain by pouring water over them. Initially, they didn’t let water through, but after a few minutes, moisture got inside through the sole. Once the water got in, it kept getting worse, like on a sinking ship. The tread is very poor, no grip on wet surfaces – ordinary wellies are far better. Walking on muddy forest roads, I slipped twice and almost fell once. On dry tiles in church, they’re also slippery. I find the shoes hard; they’re decently soft at the front but hard and uncomfortable around the ankle while walking. They’re cold in winter – in case anyone’s wondering. I really like how they look, but I only wear them on special occasions and not in the woods.

Very comfortable, soft and breathable shoes that do not pinch anywhere. They provide excellent cushioning when walking on hard and uneven surfaces. The beige version also looks very good.

These shoes are really great. I have wide feet and usually have trouble finding the right fit, especially in size 47. In these I immediately felt comfortable – it's amazing! I will definitely order more pairs. After a whole day, my feet are only slightly damp and there is no unpleasant smell at all. I am pleasantly surprised.

The shoes are sturdy, light and soft. They are suitable for any terrain, the workmanship is very good, I have no complaints. Fast delivery, everything as described. Highly recommended.

Overall, I wasn’t planning to buy these shoes; I was looking for a different model, the Protector S.A. Cross, but they’re only available in a lighter colour, so I chose this variant. I needed wide, lightweight, and soft boots due to foot problems. I’d previously had the Cross model from this brand and have good memories of it. The Unique model, despite the reinforced heel and toe, has a very similar cut and shape. Upon receiving them, I notice the quality of workmanship is very high, the shoes are soft, lighter than the Cross (at least for me), and comfortable for a wide foot – you put them on and forget you’re wearing them. I’m satisfied. I haven’t noticed any major flaws, although it’s worth mentioning: - No upper hooks for quick lacing (there are only six, but that’s not a problem) - The loops are plastic (but they seem sturdy) - I was hoping for a solid one-piece sole, but it’s two-layered (though it looks durable) - I trust the leather, but I’ll use additional impregnation anyway.

Solidly made and comfortable for various terrains, the sizing is very accurate. I consider the purchase very successful and can recommend them to others. My wife likes them too, but fortunately, they're too big for her and don’t go with a mini skirt.

Great shoes, extremely comfortable and very high quality. The grey colour looks much better in person. I use them every day when walking the dog in the woods and they’re perfect for this.
