ProTek PT1211 USMC Automatic Watch

A watch with an analogue dial designed for professional use in challenging conditions, both underwater and on land. The model features a lightweight watchcase made from carbon composite, an automatic Seiko/TMI mechanism with 24 jewels, and water resistance up to 30 atmospheres (300 m), allowing safe use while diving. Equipped with the Pro-Glo T25 tritium illumination system, providing continuous glow for up to 25 years without the need for external light recharging.

The mechanism of the watch is housed in a black watchcase with a diameter of 42 mm, constructed from a lightweight carbon composite known for its high resistance to damage with minimal weight. A screw-down crown made from 316L stainless steel with a multi-seal system, along with a steel caseback, ensure the construction's high seal integrity. The complete unit achieves water resistance of about 300 metres (30 ATM), guaranteeing safe use of the watch underwater.

The model is equipped with a unidirectional rotating bezel with a 60-click mechanism, allowing precise time monitoring, even when diving. The bezel features clear minute markings at 10-unit intervals. The Black coloured dial is protected by sapphire glass with an anti-reflective coating, reducing light reflections, thus enhancing readability in varying lighting conditions.

A distinctive marker is located at 12 o'clock, incorporating both a dial index and a reference point on the diving bezel. This arrangement allows for quick time reference setting and increases readability, particularly in low visibility conditions.

The watch is equipped with a screw-down caseback made from high-quality 316L stainless steel, contributing to the construction's high seal integrity. Its surface is adorned with an embossed emblem of the United States Marine Corps (USMC).

The model features an automatic Seiko/TMI mechanism, which utilises wrist movement to wind the mainspring, eliminating the need for a battery. The design based on 24 jewels reduces friction, ensuring stable operation and increased durability of the entire mechanism. The movement operates at a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour and provides around 40 hours of power reserve.

The watch uses the Pro-Glo T25 tritium-based illumination system. This solution provides continuous glow for up to 25 years, without the need for external light charging, offering a significant advantage over traditional luminescent coatings.

The system does not require prior exposure to light, allowing it to maintain full functionality in complete darkness as well as underwater. The high glow intensity facilitates quick reading of indications, which is crucial during diving, night operations, and work in low visibility conditions.

The model features a black rubber strap with a width of 22 mm, finished with a steel buckle. The construction reinforced with a steel tube, through which the spring bars pass, enhances durability and resistance to breakage. The strap fits well to the wrist, ensuring comfortable wear and effectively preventing the watch from shifting.
