Plano is an American brand with a heritage dating back to 1952, recognised as one of the pioneers in outdoor kit organisation. Its founder, Warren ‘Pete’ Henning, designed the first plastic bait box – lightweight, rust-resistant and far more practical than the metal equivalents of the time. As early as 1956, the range included innovative cantilever pull-out trays, and in 1969 the Plano box became a global bestseller.
