This isn’t a torch with long battery life on a single charge, but it’s perfect for everyday EDC carry. It’s compact, yet very strong – at the highest mode it shines really brightly, and the strobe effectively dazzles, especially in the dark. I already own three Olight torches and each one works flawlessly.
Olight Baton 4 Orange Rechargeable Torch - 1300 lumens
Compact torch with high-performance CW LED and TIR lens, emitting a soft and balanced light of up to 1,300 lumens and a range of up to 170 metres. In minimum mode (0.5 lumens), the torch can shine continuously for up to 30 days.
Durable aluminum housing, drop resistance, IPX-8 standard
The body of the torch is made of lightweight and durable aluminium with a rough texture, which prevents it from slipping out of the hand. The device is resistant to drops from up to 1.5 metres. In addition, the high IPX-8 waterproof rating provides protection against immersion to a depth of up to 2 metres for 30 minutes.
Work mode, power, range and lighting time
- Turbo / 1300 - 600 - 300 lumens / 170 metres / 1.5 + 2.5 + 73 minutes
- High / 600 - 300 - 60 lumens / 110 metres / 7 + 72 + 16 min
- Medium / 60 lumens / 38 meters / 8 hrs
- Low / 12 lumens / 18 metres / 35 hr
- Moon / 0.5 lumens / 30 days
- Strobe (13 Hz / 1300 lumens)
metal switch, flat cap with magnet and spring clip
Metal switch allows for convenient operation of the torch. The stationary head minimises the risk of damage or leakage. The flat cap allows the torch to be placed vertically and also includes a strong magnet, allowing it to be attached to any steel surface. Convenient carrying is ensured by a removable spring clip, which allows the torch to be clipped to the edge of a pocket, belt or other accouterment.
battery power, diodes, magnetic charger
The torch is powered by an IMR16340 3.6V rechargeable battery with 650 mAh, providing up to 30 days of operation. Charging is via the included MCC 1 A magnetic cable. Green LEDs next to the switch indicate the remaining energy and the current brightness level of the emitted light.

Small but powerful torch – very handy for everyday use given its size. The magnetic charging is very convenient. This was a good purchase; I am satisfied with the torch.

The torch will be great for demanding users – it gives very strong light and its battery lasts a long time. The option to attach it magnetically to metal surfaces is very practical. As befits Olight products, every detail has been refined, and the overall quality is very high.

This torch stands out for its high power, pleasant light, sturdy housing that fits well in the hand and – most importantly for me – compact size, so it easily fits in your pocket. It's perfect as part of your everyday kit. I definitely recommend it.

This is an excellent edition of this compact yet very powerful torch. It will work perfectly in many EDC kits. Operation is intuitive, and the torch works flawlessly, producing an impressive amount of light. I definitely recommend it.

After the Olight Baton 2, I decided on the version 4 in green. It's really small, yet an exceptional flashlight – a real gem among torches. The build quality is excellent. This small flashlight shines amazingly bright. I definitely recommend it to everyone.

Great! When I take it in my hand, you can immediately feel that it's a high-class product. It's very small, so it's easy to lose it in your pocket ;p The only downside is the lack of a lanyard (if I had known about this, I would have added it to my order). I also have the Olight Baton 2 model and it's hard for me to say which one is better. This version has illuminated indicators for battery level and light brightness (both on a 3-level scale). In my opinion, the Baton 2 fits better in the hand for longer use, while this one – due to its compact size – is a bit harder to grip. On the other hand, when you're going somewhere and not sure whether you'll need a torch, it's better to take this smaller one.

The finish of the torch is perfect. I think it is much better than the S1R Baton 2 II and Baton 3. The steel button is much more durable and solid compared to the rubber ones. The beam of light is slightly more focused than in the Baton 3, and the colour of the light – delicately yellow – is very pleasant for the eyes. I am delighted.

A solid, small torch with very good build quality. It also happened to be tested during a fall from about a metre into a puddle and absolutely nothing happened to it. It lights up a fairly large area around itself excellently.
