Carabiners are very versatile for me - I use them to attach keyrings, torches to a bum bag, connect keys and many other things. As a keychain, they work well, although I have the impression that keys take up more space because of them and spread out a bit. You have to check it for yourself, as it’s hard to describe. I can’t put all my keys on them, but they work great in individual cases.

I really appreciate these plastic S-biners – unlike the steel ones, none of them have ever come undone by themselves. They are durable enough for attaching keys (better than metal rings), and are also good for attaching torches, keyrings or small pocket knives.
