The shemagh-style model in Foliage is made of woven cotton, which promotes good ventilation and ensures comfortable use even over extended periods.     I’m absolutely thrilled with these scarves! I took them with me to Egypt, where they worked wonderfully for everything from protecting my head and shielding me from overly cold air conditioning to keeping desert sand at bay. Wetting them and wrapping them around your head and neck to cool down also works wonderfully, and the scarves absorb a lot of water and then stay cool for a long time. There’s just one thing you mustn’t do: put them in the tumble dryer. Otherwise, they become wavy.

In the past, I bought another keffiyeh that was light and suitable for summer – it protected well against wind and dust, so it was perfect for warmer days. This one, however, is perfect for winter. It comes with a slightly unpleasant smell, which partially remained even after washing. The washing was done by hand at 30 degrees. The colour runs a little when washing. I think the scarf is worth buying.
