Chemical lighting is a light source that does not require any power supply. It can illuminate for 8-12 hours, providing the ability to signal, mark positions or illuminate an area.

The plastic container contains a glass capsule with a chemical substance which, when broken, reacts with the dye in the tube. The combination of the two substances causes a reaction, resulting in the lightstick emitting light.
