Flecktarn is a classic German military camouflage pattern, officially introduced for use by the Bundeswehr in 1990. The pattern is based on small, irregular spots in five colors – typically dark green, olive, brown, black and beige. With the distribution of numerous dots and blurred boundaries between the colors, Flecktarn effectively distracts from the wearer's silhouette in forest terrain, as well as in scrubland or against the background of forest undergrowth. The camouflage was designed for European climatic conditions, especially for the temperate zone. The scarf is well made but not suitable as a mask for coronavirus protection. The material is too stiff and to keep it on your nose you need to tie it very tightly, which quickly becomes uncomfortable.

IMPORTANT – pattern printed only on one side, colours are more vivid than in the photo. The other side of the scarf is white with the pattern showing through – it doesn't look great. It's better to wear it folded or tied in a way that hides the inside. The quality matches the price and that's why I give it as much as 4 stars. The material is quite stiff and not very thick, it feels synthetic to the touch despite 100% cotton on the label – we'll see after washing.
