Cast iron pot with lid, designed for cooking over an open fire, as well as in a home oven. The dish is characterized by high resistance to mechanical damage and the ability to evenly distribute the temperature.
The pot and lid are equipped with legs, so both parts can be placed directly on the fire and the lid can be used as a frying pan.
A galvanized bail makes it possible to both carry and suspend the pot over a campfire. A recess on the rim of the pot and lid allows for the placement of a food thermometer.

When the pot was on offer, I quickly decided to buy it. The workmanship is very solid. The manufacturer claims it’s already pre-seasoned, but in my opinion, it’s better to do this process yourself thoroughly.

This is a really solid piece of cast iron – very heavy and durable. It has a large capacity. An extra advantage is that the lid can also be used as a frying pan. It’s an ideal cauldron for a campfire.
