Mechanix Wear M-Pact Insulated Leather Driver F9-360 Tactical Gloves - Coyote

Insulated tactical gloves in a beige and black colour, designed for professional soldiers and special forces operators. An excellent choice for those seeking lightweight and comfortable gloves that offer reliable hand protection and a secure grip.

DuraHide leather, PrimaLoft Gold insulation, HPPE lining

This model is made from DuraHide leather, renowned for its exceptional abrasion resistance. The PrimaLoft 100g Gold synthetic insulation delivers outstanding thermal performance, keeping hands warm even in harsh weather conditions. The inner HPPE lining further enhances durability and protection.

cut resistance and TPR panels

The combination of robust DuraHide leather and HPPE lining makes these gloves highly cut-resistant (compliant with EN 388: 2016 Level F & ANSI A9 standards). The outer side features protective TPR (thermoplastic rubber) panels, which effectively shield the hands from abrasions and impacts against hard surfaces. These panels meet the EN 13594 & ANSI 138 Level 2 standards and include specialised zones that facilitate finger movement and fist clenching.

flexible design, cuff with protector, drawstring

The gloves guarantee full grip control and do not restrict precise movements. The extended cuff with internal protector effectively covers the upper part of the hand, and the elastic drawstring ensures a perfect fit around the wrist.

ANSI/ISEA 105-XA9X, ANSI/ISEA 138 Level 2, and EN388-4X43FP, EN511-22X standards

The gloves meet the American protective standard ANSI/ISEA 105 at level XA9X for cut, abrasion, and puncture resistance, which means:

  • X: abrasion resistance (scale from 1 to 6)
  • A9: cut resistance (scale from A1 to A9)
  • X: puncture resistance (scale from 0 to 5)

The gloves also meet the American protective standard ANSI/ISEA 138 at level 2 for impact energy absorption, which means:

  • 1: basic impact protection
  • 2: medium level of protection
  • 3: high level of protection

The gloves comply with the protective standard EN388 at level 4X43FP for mechanical resistance, which means:

  • 4: abrasion resistance (scale 0–4)
  • X: cut resistance (scale 0–5)
  • 4: tear resistance (scale 0–4)
  • 3: puncture resistance (scale 0–4)
  • F: cut resistance – TDM test (ISO 13997) (scale A–F)
  • P: impact protection (test passed)

Cold protection complies with the standard EN511 at level 22X, which means:

  • 2: resistance to convective cold (scale 0–4)
  • 2: resistance to contact cold (scale 0–4)
  • X: resistance to water penetration (0 or 1)

Under the ANSI/ISEA 105 standard, abrasion resistance is rated on a scale from 1 to 6 and refers to the number of cycles the material can withstand before wear. Cut resistance is classified on a scale from A1 to A9 (from the lowest to the highest level of protection). Puncture resistance is rated on a scale from 0 to 5 and indicates the force required to puncture the glove surface with a sharp probe (excluding needle punctures).

Under the ANSI/ISEA 138 standard, impact protection is evaluated based on the transmitted force (expressed in kN) during an impact test. The lower the transmitted force, the higher the level of protection provided by the gloves.

The scales used in EN388 and EN511 standards indicate glove protection levels: a value of 0 means no protection, while the highest values (4, 5) indicate maximum resistance. For water penetration resistance: 0 means penetration, and 1 means no penetration.

In the TDM test (ISO 13997), letter designations are used, where A indicates the lowest protection and F the highest.

The X marking indicates that a given parameter was not tested or is not applicable. The P marking indicates that the glove meets impact protection requirements.

They were in the glove box for a long time, but a big promotion made me buy them. They will be just right for winter. Excellent workmanship – double stitching, no loose threads. The leather is thick but soft. Rubber elements protect the fingers and the back of the hand well. I suppose they will become my favourite winter gloves.

I bought them with motorcycling in mind for colder days. Yesterday it was 10 degrees – my hands stayed warm, only my feet got cold. The gloves are comfortable and warm well. They are a bit stiff, but it's their first use. Overall, I am very satisfied with them.
