Very warm and durable gloves, which is typical for this brand. Mobility is a bit lower, so they're not good for precision work, but unlike universal models that only pretend to be warm – this model really does the job.
Mechanix Wear ColdWork WindShell Tactical Gloves Black/Grey
Winter, windproof gloves in black and gray, designed for effective protection against cold and adverse weather conditions. Equipped with advanced PrimaLoft Gold insulation, they provide thermal comfort and protect hands from abrasions and cuts.
primaloft gold insulation, fleece and softshell material
The gloves are made with warm fleece, while the back of the hand is covered with an additional softshell material that effectively protects against wind and moisture. The interior is filled with synthetic PrimaLoft insulation, ensuring excellent thermal insulation. The PrimaLoft 40g Gold layer warms the back of the hand, while the working side features PrimaLoft 60g Gold filling, maintaining warmth even in the harshest conditions.
Armortex reinforcements
The working side uses extremely durable Armortex material, which is water-resistant and provides excellent grip. Reinforcements made of this material are also placed on the back of the hand, including the thumb and fingertips, enhancing the durability of the gloves. Additionally, the gloves allow for touchscreen operation.
extended cuffs, Velcro, snap buckle
Extended cuffs effectively prevent cold air from entering the gloves, while their precise fit is ensured by a Velcro fastener. The model is also equipped with a snap clasp, allowing the gloves to be clipped together for easier storage and transport.
protective standards
The gloves meet the protective standard EN388-2122X in terms of resistance to mechanical actions which means:
- 1: abrasion resistance (on a scale of 0-4)
- 1: resistance to cutting (on a scale of 0-5)

Quality as per Mechanix standards. The gloves are neatly made from high-quality materials. Choosing the right size gives a sure grip. 100g of good insulation provides warmth, and the outer material protects against moisture. Recommended.

The gloves seem extremely durable, but in return are very stiff. Ideal for work with a shovel or spade, but for more delicate tools they get uncomfortable. They work well at -10°C during intense activity, but at -4°C on a scooter, after 10 minutes your hands are already cold. Older sports gloves I have offer better insulation.
-
The gloves are not that warm if you don't move your hands – after an hour's walk with the dog, my fingertips started to get cold. In my opinion, they're fine down to about -2/-3°C, but below that, without hand movement, your fingers will freeze. They're not very durable inside – after a few uses, a hole appeared from fastening the Velcro. On the plus side, the touchscreen function works, and the outer durability is good – a leash didn't damage the material, while other gloves wore out.

Mechanix Wear ColdWork WindShell are great winter gloves – they provide warmth, protect against wind, and the grip remains precise. Ideal for tough conditions – the warmest I've ever had.

The gloves are very well made, very warm and offer good protection against rain and wind. Unfortunately, it's difficult to perform precise tasks with them – opening the underarm zip or taking something out of your pocket can be frustrating or even impossible. They support touchscreens, but only at a basic level (e.g. answering calls), but typing an SMS is unreal. However, I was looking for protection against the cold and moisture, so I am fully satisfied – I accepted the limitations, but it's worth knowing about them before buying.

The gloves are of super quality, durable and very warm. They perform well even for hard work, it’s almost impossible to wear them out. I recommend both the product and the store.
-
Classic Mechanix product quality – the gloves are robust and carefully made from good materials. Once you choose the right size, they fit securely. 100g of insulation keeps warmth in very well, and the outer layer protects against moisture.
-
The gloves are quite stiff and choosing the right size can be tricky – it seems they don't reach the tips of the fingers. However, they are resistant to cold and work well for skiing. I recommend both the gloves and the shop!
-
Very solidly made – I've been using them for my third season and have never gotten cold hands. Even when soaked, they didn't get wet inside. They do restrict movement a little, but that's just a matter of getting used to them.
-
Size S turned out to be a bit too loose for delicate women's hands, but that's not a big issue. Unfortunately, hands get cold already at -5 degrees, especially when walking the dog. The gloves are rather stiff.
-
The gloves are good, although I was influenced by another review and chose XL instead of L, which wasn't necessary. I think that to protect effectively against the cold, they must fit your hands and fingers closely. Initially, they seem stiff, but you quickly get used to it. I recommend ordering two sizes and comparing them yourself.

I've just received these gloves and indeed, they're very warm, just as other users have written. The build quality is once again impressive. This is already my third pair from this brand. Highly recommended.
-
The first impression is very good – the materials and workmanship are of a very high standard. The gloves are a bit stiff, but during use or when cycling this is not a problem. I'm curious how they will fare after a longer period of use.

Decent gloves, great for cycling in sub-zero temperatures. A bit stiff, but you can comfortably change gears and use the brakes. The large opening makes it easy to put them over your jacket sleeve, and the ability to use touchscreens is very practical.
