After two years of use (meaning two seasons from October to April), I’m starting another colder period with them. I give plus points for the design and fairly comfortable handling of the weapon – the controls and trigger are easy to feel, although I wouldn’t recommend them for handguns. In warmer conditions, my hands stay warm, but when the temperature drops below zero, my hands get cold. In the rain, they soak up water almost like a sponge. The hook-and-loop fastener is the biggest downside – it’s large, stiff, and after a dozen or so uses it stops working and comes off the sleeve easily, which is very annoying on the wrist. You can hold it in place with the cuff of a sweatshirt or jacket, but it can still come undone and stick out, making use difficult. I probably won’t buy them again.
Mechanix Wear Cold Weather SUB35 Tactical Gloves - Realtree Edge
Winter tactical gloves SUB35 in realistic Realtree Edge camouflage. They effectively protect hands from cold, abrasions, and cuts.
Synthetic leather with Padlock coating
The palm side of the gloves is made of synthetic leather and covered with a silicone, anti-slip Padlock coating, enhancing grip security. Additional injury protection is provided by 3 mm EVA foam. The embossed trigger finger with additional reinforcement ensures precise firearm handling.
3M Thinsulate insulation and waterproof membrane
The 3M Thinsulate 40 g insulation effectively retains heat, ensuring high thermal comfort. Additionally, the waterproof membrane allows breathability, preventing excessive sweating of the hands.
Extended cuffs, snap fasteners and loops for easy carrying
The gloves feature a comfortable hook-and-loop strap cuff that ensures a precise fit around the wrist. Its extended design provides extra protection against cold air. Practical snap fasteners and loops on the wrists allow easy securing of the gloves, making transport and storage more convenient.
Touchscreen compatibility
The touchscreen-compatible feature allows for mobile device operation without removing the gloves.
EN388-2222X and EN511 Standards
The model meets the EN388-2222X protection standard, ensuring resistance to mechanical factors:
- 2: Abrasion resistance (scale 0-4)
- 2: Cut resistance (scale 0-5)

Camouflage Realtree Edge
Realtree Edge is a realistic camouflage pattern that combines detailed reproduction of leaves, branches, and bark with an abstract background, effectively disrupting the user's silhouette from both close up and at a distance. Thanks to its subdued palette of grays and browns, the pattern works well throughout the entire year in various forest environments, especially in conditions typical of Central Europe.

Warm in tough conditions and fit the hand very well, but the Velcro stops working quickly – after two weeks of intensive use it doesn't hold anymore. As for moisture resistance, they cope with light rain, but longer work with wet tools makes them soak through.
-
Very warm gloves with a nice camouflage – sometimes it’s really hard to see they’re on your hands! Very solid workmanship. Ideal for the forest, skiing or ice skating. I recommend them.
-
I bought them last autumn, used them a bit and they are definitely not suitable for winter. They work best in autumn or spring. The insulation isn’t enough for low temperatures. As tactical gloves they’re okay, but definitely not for winter.

The first time I was disappointed with Militaria shop. According to the size chart it was L/XL, but in reality M fit. The gloves turned out to be too big, completely uncomfortable and impractical. During an hour's walk at -3°C, my hands stayed cold. After a few days of testing, they were never once warm. Ordinary winter gloves for 50 PLN are better. I do not recommend them.

Quality as usual is good for the Mechanix brand. The gloves are carefully made from decent materials. A well-chosen size guarantees a firm grip. 40g insulation keeps you warm and the outer material protects against moisture.
-
Decent, fairly warm gloves. Comfortable and suitable for different jobs, but not really for shooting. However, I think for other uses they are fine.
-
A good product, comfortable to wear, works very well with touchscreens, keeps you warm, and is very solidly made – I am very satisfied. Thank you and I recommend the shop.

In my opinion, this is the least refined Mechanix model – the sizing runs small, I usually take 9L, but here I had to exchange for 10XL, which fits but the fingers are too long. Putting them on is difficult, especially the little finger, as the lining slips out. Apart from that, they are warm and almost waterproof.

A good quality product. The gloves are warm, fairly thick, but you can shoot in them, though loading ammunition is harder. Handling weapons like the Grot or Beryl is doable, but with the Wis it can be difficult, decocking is hard even without gloves. They survived 6 hours in the rain. I especially recommend this Mechanix model.

Tested for several days during field training at temperatures down to -5°C. They keep you warm, are resistant to snow, and work very well when handling ropes or lifting heavy objects. Nothing chafes or pinches.
-
Cool, fairly warm and comfortable. I had a lot of trouble finding the right size, and when I found ones that fit in width, the fingers were too long. These gloves are probably ideal for pianists.
-
The gloves are warm and comfortable, with non-slip inserts that work well even when wet. So far, they haven't soaked through during work in the rain or snow.
-
Solid and fairly warm gloves. After a whole day working in the snow and clearing the car, they did not soak through. Wet on the outside, but dry and warm inside. The wrist Velcro is very practical. Phone use works flawlessly. I recommend them.
-
Warm and comfortable. Tested at a minimum temperature of -8 / -10°C. I recommend them for walks and light work – they’re ideal for that. A plus is also the good Velcro.
