This mat is a real find :) It works perfectly as a seat pad, but it can just as well serve as a pad for your backpack. Personally, I would introduce a modification in the form of a panel attached to the belt, and I would fasten the mat to it with Velcro.

Foldable mat made of durable Cordura 560 in MAPA camouflage, filled with soft foam. It provides comfort and effective insulation from the ground. Its small size when folded makes it easy to transport and store.
A Velcro fastener keeps the mat folded. When unfolded, it provides a large enough surface area to sit on it comfortably. Thanks to its compatibility with the MOLLE/PALS system, the folded mat can be attached to a belt, backpack vest or other pieces of equipment. The mounting system is made with LaserCut technology.
The camouflage pattern MAPA was designed by Maciej Dojlitko, a graduate and currently a researcher at the Faculty of Architecture and Design of the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk, author of, among other publications, Theory of Deconstruction of Visual Communication. Tools for designing military camouflage (Gdansk 2015). The innovative design, supported by convincing theoretical and experimental arguments, including computer analysis of thousands of photographs of the terrain, attracted the attention of specialists and military clothing manufacturers. In 2017, the MAPA camouflage made its debut at the International Defense Industry Exhibition in Kielce as a camouflage pattern for the Dromader system of armor and uniforms from Maskpol, which is part of the Polish Armament Group. The system was created for soldiers of the Territorial Defense Army, but the MAPA camouflage itself was also considered as a perspective pattern for the entire Polish Armed Forces, where it could replace the wz.93 camouflage. Unfortunately, the MAPA camouflage has not been implemented as an official camouflage pattern of the Polish Army to date.
Highlights of the MAPA camouflage in the basic forest variant:
- 6 colors that form layers resembling levels on a map,
- colors optimized for operations in the forests of Central Europe,
- use of the illusion of three-dimensionality and anamorphosis effect,
- biomorphic shapes making the design similar to vegetation,
- strongly contrasting elements imitating flashes of light and shadows,
- deformation of the masked silhouette using macro pattern,
- color noise reproduced by means of a micro pattern.
The MAPA pattern is an interesting alternative to the best contemporary camouflage patterns such as PenCott, MultiCam, Kryptek, Flecktarn or Finnish M/05. In some respects, it is more advanced than them, and better reproduces the colors found in Central European forests in the period from later spring to early autumn.

The mat works very well – it's a fantastic solution when you need to sit on something cold, wet or hard outdoors. It's easy to unfold and fold by yourself. However, you must remember that if you have a backpack with you, it should end above your belt, otherwise it may press on the mat.

It works great for outdoor trips. When folded, it is very compact. It effectively protects from the cold coming from the ground. Made of high-quality material. The camouflage looks fantastic. I definitely recommend it.
