I bought these shoes as an alternative to the Lowa brand. Previously, I had three pairs of Lowas and each one cracked near the Achilles tendon after one or two years of daily use (Lowa uses a plastic reinforcement in this area). In addition, with the MK2 model, Lowa introduced its own sole instead of Vibram, which is used in the Mtac models. At first, the Mtac seemed very stiff, but over time the interior adapted well to my foot. After a period of use, I can say that the shoes are really comfortable and well made, key areas are well protected, they dry quickly and are fairly water resistant, and the Vibram sole is durable and hard—which is important for users who are heavier or carry more equipment. To sum up—fantastic! I have only one reservation: the Mtac sizes run small—with my foot length of 26.6 cm, which at other manufacturers corresponds to a size of about 42, here I had to choose size 40.

The use of suede leather, Cordura and soft padding ensures thermal comfort and proper air circulation. The high upper stiffens the ankle and protects against injuries, while the inner membrane effectively prevents moisture from penetrating. The reinforced toe cap and rear part of the upper protect the foot from impacts and stabilise it during use.

Stability on a variety of surfaces is ensured by the flexible, abrasion-resistant Vibram sole made of durable rubber. Thanks to its deep tread and non-slip structure, it guarantees excellent grip even on wet and slippery surfaces. The heel is additionally reinforced with thermoplastic polyurethane, resistant to oil, gasoline, and increased wear. An anatomical insole increases comfort by adapting to the shape of the foot.

All positives. They are sturdy, comfortable, easy to adjust to your foot size. They dry in a flash. They look nice. I have no complaints. The only thing missing is that they don't fly.

The shoes are very well made and high-quality materials were used for them. They are comfortable even during long walks outdoors. Breathability is at a good level, but it is worth wearing them with decent socks.
