Katadyn Gravity BeFree Water Filter 6 l - Blue

A filtering system with a 6 litre capacity, utilising gravity, is equipped with an efficient filter featuring a BeFree EZ-Clean membrane. It has been designed for purifying water from natural sources such as lakes, rivers, streams, brooks, and other water bodies of uncertain origin. The model enables convenient sourcing of drinking water during camping, trekking, travel, and longer field expeditions.

After filling the flexible container, you can hang it in a chosen place for the water to flow through the filter element itself - without the need for pumping, using electrical energy or manually operating the system. This solution is particularly useful when preparing a water supply for a larger number of people.

The applied filter operates on Hollow Fibre strands with an accuracy of 0.1 micron (0.0001 mm), effectively removing bacteria, protozoa, cysts, and sediments. The design also reduces the amount of microplastics in the filtered water. The system's efficiency is as high as 2 litres per minute, and the filter's lifespan is up to 1000 litres, depending on the quality of the source.

The BeFree EZ-Clean filter has been designed for quick and convenient cleaning without requiring additional tools or backwashing. To clean it, simply shake or rinse it in water. This significantly facilitates use during field expeditions and reduces the time needed for maintaining the filtration system.

The water tank, blue in colour, is made from durable materials intended for contact with food. Its flexible design allows for easy folding and compression of the empty tank, which means it takes up little space in a backpack or transport bag. The model includes an integrated handle with buckles that allows for easy carrying and suspension of the system at the water intake point.

There is a practical window with a scale at the back, allowing for monitoring of the liquid level inside the tank. When refilling the water tank, the outlet hose can be quickly disconnected thanks to a quick-release valve with automatic flow closure, reducing the risk of the hose coming into contact with contaminated water.

The low weight and compression capability make the system practical during transport and it does not take up much space in gear. The set includes a strap with carabiners for comfortably hanging the water tank and a transport cover that makes it easier to store the entire set.
