Katadyn Drip Ceradyn Water Filter

High-performance gravity filter from the Endurance series, designed for treating drinking water without the need for electrical power or pumping. Equipped with three silver-impregnated Ceradyn ceramic filter elements, allowing filtration of up to 150,000 litres of water, as well as a 10-litre tank. It performs well at stationary bases, expedition camps, during crisis situations, and anywhere regular supplies of clean water are needed for larger groups of people.

The system operates using gravity. Filtration takes place automatically after filling the upper tank with raw water, without the need to connect to a water supply network and without the use of physical force. Flow rate reaches up to 4 litres per hour, allowing efficient preparation of a drinking water reserve. The lack of moving mechanical parts reduces the risk of failure in the field.

The filter is based on elements made of ceramic with a microporous structure of 0.2 micron (0.0002 mm), impregnated with silver ions. Bacteria, protozoa, cysts, and other disease-causing microorganisms are retained on the surface and inside the material structure. The use of silver limits the growth of microorganisms inside the element. The total service life of the three filter elements is up to 150,000 litres (depending on the level of contamination of the filtered water). The ceramic elements can be mechanically cleaned repeatedly using the included pad, also in field conditions, which clearly reduces operating costs.

The design consists of two stackable containers and a lid, made of durable plastic. The lower tank includes a drain tap with a seal, making it easier to pour filtered water directly into containers. The set also includes a rubber sealing plug, which allows the device to be used after one of the elements has been worn out, as well as a cartridge thickness gauge, enabling control of the ceramic wear level after subsequent cleanings.
