JB Tacticals A.C.T. Pressure Dressing with Active Compression 10 cm

Dressing designed for fast and effective control of massive haemorrhages, wounds, and injuries requiring effective surface compression. Suitable for civilian rescue operations and battlefield use. The design was developed at the Medical University of Lodz.

It includes an elastic bandage 10 cm wide and 180 cm long (stretched to approx. 360 cm), a modular pad measuring 10 x 13 cm and a wound packing module.

The segmented pad measuring 10 x 13 cm uses four active compression inserts arranged in a 2 x 2 layout. On contact with blood, the inserts increase in volume, helping maintain and extend pressure over a larger surface area. The design helps the dressing conform to extensive, irregular, and multi-point wounds, as well as demanding anatomical areas.

The dressing is equipped with a wound packing module with eight active round compression inserts. The module is used for packing deep and irregular wounds and can also serve as an additional pressure-enhancing element. The starter loop supports the beginning of application, the velcro system supports gradual compression increase, and the final velcro closure and buckle secure the dressing after application.

The dressing is sterile and placed in double waterproof, hermetic foil packaging with special notches for easier opening. Instructions for application in Polish, Ukrainian, and English, together with pictograms, are located on the reverse side.
