All in all, I’m very satisfied with these gloves! 👍 However, before buying them, you should know that they are quite stiff at first – almost like a board 😅 You need to wear them for a while so that the leather softens and adapts better to your hand. So give them a bit of time before forming a final judgement. I also recommend proofing the gloves before the first heavy use and regularly treating the leather with a suitable leather balm or leather grease. That should hopefully keep it supple for longer and in good condition. In practical use, they have convinced me. When carrying firewood, they protect my hands very well. They have also proved themselves around the campfire. I have even used them to move hot objects, but one thing is absolutely clear here: these are not heat-resistant protective gloves! So do not rely on them to protect you from high temperatures or direct contact with fire. 😉 For fine work, on the other hand, they are rather unsuitable. They are simply too bulky, and finger mobility is limited. But honestly: who buys gloves like these to crochet in them? 😂 I do have one small criticism, though: on my pair, the drawstring at the wrist tore. Personally, that does not bother me much, and I can live with it. Still, in my opinion, the manufacturer could make this part a bit more robust. My conclusion: I am satisfied with the gloves. They protect my hands when carrying wood and are well suited to various kinds of work outdoors. You just need a little patience while breaking them in, regular leather care, and an awareness of their limits when using them near fire. If you are looking for sturdy leather gloves for outdoor and camping use, I think they are definitely worth considering. 👍
