Modern tactical shorts UTS (Urban Tactical Shorts) made from high-quality PoliCotton RipStop fabric (60% cotton, 37% polyester, 3% elastane) offer exceptional resistance to abrasion and tearing. They are lighter than 100% cotton fabrics and dry much faster. The thoughtfully arranged pockets make these shorts ideal for urban environments and outdoor activities.

A perfect combination of military and civilian clothing features — a subdued cut and the functionality of cargo trousers. Innovative construction, carefully positioned seams, and the fabric used ensure outstanding freedom of movement and high durability.

10 spacious pockets

The shorts are equipped with ten functional pockets:

  • two classic hip pockets with reinforced edges
  • four thigh pockets (two wide with zippers and two narrow secured with Velcro)
  • four back pockets (two wide and two narrow placed inside the wide ones)

Easy fit of the trousers to the figure

Instead of a traditional button, a broad Velcro strap adjustable by 6 cm is used. The waistband also features an elastic tape for a better fit to the body. Additional loops at the lower part of the front belt loops allow for attaching, for example, a carabiner.

    After many clothing purchases from Helikon, I decided to try their shorts. I own both length variants: 8.5" and 11". Personally, I prefer the longer version as it ends just below the knee. The material is lightweight and breathable, making the shorts comfortable and almost unnoticeable. At the same time, the fabric is sturdy and the workmanship meticulous, ensuring their longevity. The shorts feature my favourite pocket arrangement, familiar to me from other models like the Hybrid Outback DuraCanvas. Additionally, the shorts are available in a wide range of colours, which is rare among other Helikon products. What more could you ask for? I highly recommend giving them a try!

    These are quite interesting shorts, and they performed well during hot weather. They have plenty of pockets, so they can be used quite practically, although I missed having additional small pockets near the main ones, like on some other Helikon trousers. As for the downsides: - the sizing is quite unusual — XXL is very snug at the waist and hips, whereas the SFU/Next model in size XL fits me noticeably looser. - a higher rise or some kind of back yoke would be useful, because when bending over they become somewhat uncomfortable and expose the back too much.

    Great shorts (I have the 11" version), very comfortable, breathable, and sturdy. The Husar Range Belt 2.0 inner belt fits without any problems, so you can wear them to the shooting range :-D The shorts reach just below the knee and have asymmetrical legs, which provide extra protection for the knee. I definitely recommend them! A small suggestion – it's worth ordering one size smaller than indicated in the size chart.

    Helikon-Tex UTS 11" PolyCotton Rip-Stop Shorts - Olive Green fit my figure perfectly (185 cm tall, 94 kg weight) - size L is ideal. The olive colour has just the right tone. The numerous pockets are a big advantage, and the material, with its high cotton content, allows your skin to breathe.
