In the photos, the hat appears stiffer, but it’s actually quite comfortable to wear. I had no problems with insects by the lake, but it’s hard to call it a thorough test. The mosquito net has very fine mesh. When folded, it fits inside the hat, but then it loses a bit of comfort. Adjustment is limited to a drawstring with a stopper, which is more suitable for securing against the wind than for precise adjustment of the circumference. Overall, I’m satisfied, although the product could be better.
