This is a really nice jacket for spring and autumn use in the city or for the outdoors. It's not too outdoorsy or technical for urban use. Very good for the price.

Columbia Cascade Ridge III Softshell Jacket - Black
Windproof and breathable jacket made from lightweight softshell material in Black shade. The outer layer is waterproofed, which effectively protects against rain. The regular fit provides full freedom of movement and is ideal for trekking and everyday use in changing weather conditions.
Durable polyester, hydrophobic coating
The jackets are made from durable polyester, which effectively protects against light rain and wind. Production occurs without the use of harmful PFAS substances. The whole is covered with Omni-Shield coating, which prevents moisture from penetrating the fabric, while maintaining breathability and minimising sweating during exertion.
Three zipped pockets
The model's equipment includes three functional pockets, allowing for safe storage of essential accessories.

Adjustable cuffs and bottom of the jacket
Velcro adjustable cuffs protect against cold and gusts of wind. Drawstring with stopper on the lower edge of the jacket allows for a better fit to the user's silhouette and prevents wind from entering under the jacket.

Jacket fastens with a solid zip along its entire length. The high collar with chin guard protects the neck from the wind. Detachable and adjustable hood provides additional protection in harsh weather conditions and can be conveniently adjusted to the user's needs.

Materials with Omni-Shield technology are coated with a layer that resists water and dirt, as well as the external factors, up to 76 degrees Celsius. Clothing with Omni-Shield technology dries 3 to 5 times faster as it doesn't store moisture like traditional fabrics, thanks to which it remains lightweight even when wet.

Very decent softshell jacket, one of those you really wear all the time. It holds the wind well, it's also good in light rain – you go out and don't get stuffy. It's perfect for the city: looks neat, the black colour goes with everything, and it doesn’t feel like “tourist armour.” The main thing is that it's comfortable to move in – you can raise your arms, steer a bike, and carry a backpack with no issues. But if there’s proper rain, it will eventually soak through, it’s not a raincoat. And it doesn’t keep you warm on its own in the cold – you’ll need a fleece or something warmer underneath. Overall, a very successful jacket for autumn and spring, and for those days when the weather is “neither here nor there.”

The price of this jacket is not the lowest, but its versatility and comfort of use are exceptional compared to other models. I was surprised how often I use it. I definitely recommend it.
