Columbia Bugaboo III Fleece Interchange Jacket - Delta

A 3-in-1 all-season jacket comprising an outer layer and a fleece top. The Zip-In system allows you to wear the pieces separately or as a jacket with insulation. It is ideal for survival and hiking, as well as for leisure activities.

Omni-Tech membrane

The outer layer of the jacket is made of nylon, with sealed laminated seams at key points. The model features an Omni-Tech membrane, which provides water resistance up to 10,000 mm/m2 and breathability of 10,000 g/m2.

Fleece lining with Omni-Heat technology

The jacket is made from polyester fleece, which is tear-resistant. The lining utilises Omni-Heat Reflective technology, with silver dots that reflect body heat, helping to retain warmth beneath the jacket. The system effectively wicks moisture to the surface of the fabric, which is crucial during intense outdoor activities such as trekking.

Detachable hood

The jacket features a detachable hood with a drawcord and a high collar, providing additional protection for the head and neck against rain and cold. Velcro cuffs and an elasticated hem with a drawcord at the bottom of the jacket ensure a proper fit. A special insert at the chin prevents chafing.

7 practical pockets

  • two large hip pockets with waterproof zips
  • one chest pocket with a waterproof zip
  • two mesh pockets inside the lining
  • two side pockets in the lining with zips

Very good jacket with a fleece lining, making it a 3-in-1 function. Well made, I have no complaints about the quality. The sizing is quite generous, as is typical for American sizes, so you should carefully check the size chart. I have been using it for a year and have no major criticisms – even at minus 10 degrees, it is warm, even when unzipped. The only downside is that when the jacket is open, the Velcro can catch on the fabric, which may cause pilling.
