I bought this tent with family trips and weekend camping with friends in mind, and I have to admit that the BlackOut Bedroom technology makes a huge difference. The sleeping area is very well darkened, so the morning sun does not wake you at dawn, and on hot days the interior warms up more slowly. Another major advantage is the spacious porch area with a groundsheet and windows – you can easily store shoes, larger rucksacks, or a camping table there, and during rain it provides very good shelter. The igloo-style construction with an additional pole in the porch section stands up well to wind, and the waterproof flysheet proved itself even during an all-night downpour – the inside remained completely dry. Pitching the tent itself is simple and takes around a dozen minutes. As for the weaker points, with four adults and a large amount of luggage in the sleeping area, it may be a little too cramped. It is best suited to a family of 2+2 or to three adults who want more freedom of movement. When packed, the tent is also quite heavy (over 7 kg) and fairly bulky, so it is more suitable for transport by car than for carrying in a rucksack. On colder nights, when the porch area is closed, condensation may also appear on the flysheet. To sum up: this is an excellent, solidly made camping tent. The darkened sleeping area and large porch area clearly increase comfort. It is definitely worth recommending!
