CMP Rigel Waterproof Low Women's Shoes - Deserto/Arena

Women's trekking shoes in Deserto/Arena colourway, designed for mountain walks, hiking, and outdoor activities. The low-cut design provides freedom of movement around the ankle, while stabilising elements and a contoured sole support confident footing on varied terrain.

The model combines a suede upper, a waterproof ClimaProtect membrane, a cushioning EVA foam midsole, and a CMP FullOn GRIP rubber outsole. This setup protects against moisture, increases stability, and supports traction while walking on forest trails, rocky sections, and uneven ground.

The upper is made of suede leather with a thickness of 1.4 mm. The suede surface creates a stable structure around the foot, while additional synthetic panels reinforce the areas most exposed to contact with the ground.

The front section is protected by a rubber rand that reduces the risk of damage caused by impacts against rocks, roots, and other obstacles. The upper is complemented by textile elements that improve fit and breathability.

The model uses a waterproof ClimaProtect membrane. Its role is to limit water from getting inside the shoe when in contact with wet ground, mud, and precipitation.

The membrane helps keep feet in a dry environment while also supporting moisture vapour transfer generated during movement. As a result, the footwear performs well in changing weather and on routes with increased moisture.

The shoes feature a durable CMP FullOn GRIP outsole. Multi-directional traction zones and a refined tread pattern support grip on dry, wet, and uneven surfaces. The tread sheds some dirt and supports ground contact during ascents and descents.

The midsole is made of lightweight EVA foam, which provides effective cushioning. EVA foam reduces stress while walking on hard surfaces, rocks, and packed trails. Its low weight helps maintain proper comfort without excessively increasing the weight of the footwear.

A TPU insert has been placed in the rear part of the midsole to increase structural stability. This element limits excessive twisting of the sole and supports foot guidance on uneven ground.

The support system in the ankle area improves shoe fit and helps keep the heel in the proper position. This is especially important when descending, crossing rocky sections, and moving along side slopes.

The model uses an Ortholite Foam 0.11 insole with EVA foam. The insole adapts to the shape of the foot and supports cushioning while walking. The foam construction improves pressure distribution and increases comfort on longer routes.

The lacing system enables even distribution of lace tension and a more precise fit of the shoe to the shape of the foot. Stable tightening of the upper in the midfoot area limits foot movement inside the shoe, which matters on steep and uneven sections of the route.
