At home, they're great as an extra way to cool drinks, medicines or cosmetics in a small fridge. Importantly – they don't give off an unpleasant smell, unlike some other inserts.

The inserts don't differ from others, they are rather small. I bought four for my Camelbak to cool the hydration reservoir on hot days and they work quite well, although the cooling effect doesn't last all day.
