This is something everyone should have with them just in case. It’s lightweight, doesn’t take up much space, and is very practical. The NRC foil can be helpful in emergencies, providing comfort and safety both for the injured person and for ourselves – for example, if the weather suddenly changes or your car breaks down in winter and you have to wait for roadside assistance. In your boot, the NRC foil takes up much less space than a sleeping bag – it’s worth keeping that in mind. It effectively protects against cold, rain, or wind. A good quality NRC foil is sturdy enough to be used to carry an injured person like a stretcher. Is this particular foil just as durable? I haven’t had the chance to check yet. The only thing I don’t quite like is the fact that it is single-sided – a traditional NRC foil has a silver and a gold side. We cover the person with the silver side to warm them, and with the gold side to protect them from overheating – for example, if someone is lying in the sun and you can’t provide shade.
