A really well-thought-out backpack, very nice-looking and spacious for a good price. The straps can be easily adjusted both at the chest and hips. Two practical pockets on the hip belt allow you to store small items. You can attach additional gear on the sides, and there is a rain cover at the bottom, hence no straps there. I am very happy with the backpack and recommend it to everyone.
Alpinus Otway 50 l Backpack - Black
Black backpack with a capacity of 50 liters, made of durable and damage-resistant 400D nylon, designed for comfort even during prolonged activity. It performs well on day trips, hikes, camping, and multi-day outdoor expeditions.
Spacious main compartment, 8 pockets
The main compartment closes with a top flap and a high-quality YKK zipper, with access from both the top and the front panel. Inside, there is a compartment for a hydration bladder or laptop and a document pocket.
The backpack includes two large-capacity side compartments, two elastic side pockets ideal for a water bottle or wet clothing, a front pocket for smaller items, two small hip belt pockets, and a lid pocket with an additional compartment. The front pocket is secured by a laminated YKK zipper and a teflon coating, providing effective moisture protection.
Adjustable shoulder straps, chest and hip belt, UTX buckle with emergency whistle
Fit and stability are ensured by a carrying system with a removable frame. Wide, adjustable shoulder straps with soft padding ensure even weight distribution under heavy load. The inner side is finished with breathable mesh fabric for enhanced comfort during extended wear.
The adjustable chest strap is fastened with a UTX buckle with a built-in emergency whistle. A hip belt with soft foam padding further enhances comfort, while the anatomically shaped neoprene back panel does not absorb moisture and supports effective ventilation thanks to its perforated design.
Compression straps, loops for attaching trekking poles
This model includes compression straps for volume adjustment and securing extra gear such as a jacket, tarp, or sleeping mat. On the front, there are loops and attachment points for trekking poles, an ice axe, or other outdoor equipment.
Rain cover, Alpinus Safety reflective elements
The model is equipped with a rain cover that effectively protects the contents from rainfall. Alpinus Safety reflective elements placed on it increase the user's visibility after dark and in low-visibility conditions such as fog or rain.

From the very beginning, its mission has been to create reliable clothing and equipment for people who actively spend time in nature. As one of the pioneering brands in Poland, Alpinus introduced clothing with Gore-Tex membranes to its range, setting new standards of quality. After a period of absence, the brand returned to the market, combining its mountaineering heritage with modern technologies and an ecological approach to production. Today, it is recognized by both professionals and outdoor enthusiasts.

A good, roomy backpack ideal for 2-3 day trips. It easily fits a tent, sleeping bag and other essentials. I tested it recently in the Kraków-Częstochowa Jura. I definitely recommend it.
-
The backpack matches the description, it is comfortable, spacious and has a very good quality-to-price ratio. It works perfectly both for everyday use and for mountain hikes. I can honestly recommend it.

After five days of hiking in the Bieszczady mountains the backpack is still holding up great. It survived two rainy days and being fully packed without any issues. Very comfortable on the shoulders and back. Highly recommended!

The backpack is spacious, well-designed and thoughtfully constructed. Durable, smoothly working zips. Very good carrying system, handy hip belt pockets. Access to the inside is possible from almost every side. Option to mount a hydration bladder, but a slight minus for the lack of a hook to attach it—I had to sew one on myself. Overall, a very solid backpack made from strong materials, comfortable for my back.
-
The backpack itself is fine for a one-day trip, but after a few uses the lifting handle tore off, and the hip belt broke after the second fastening. However, as far as the adjustment system and other technical aspects are concerned, I highly recommend it.

A great backpack for those who like going away for a few days. Very spacious, with a comfortable carrying system. Durable, well made and well finished. Strong materials were used, and the reflective elements are a big advantage for me at this price. I also appreciate the Alpinus brand for its Polish roots and I am sentimental about it. Highly recommended.

Very good, spacious backpack at an affordable price. Lots of adjustment options for the straps, both across the chest and hips. Two small pockets on the hip belt for small items. Possibility to attach additional equipment to the sides (no attachments at the bottom, as that is where the rain cover is located). The quality of workmanship could be better, but overall I am satisfied.

A very well-designed backpack with a large number of pockets. It can be packed in many different ways. The carrying system can be adjusted to your build. It weighs exactly 1560g but you can make it 78g lighter by removing the metal reinforcement. It gives a very solid impression for its capacity and weight. In my opinion, this is a great backpack for little money. Bonus for being a Polish brand, although production takes place in China—as is the case with Helikon.
