Durable materials and reversible design
The outer layer is made of sturdy and abrasion-resistant nylon, which protects against wind and moisture.
The MA1 can be worn on either the right or left side. The inside has a distinctive orange colour, referring to the original purpose of MA-1 jackets, which were used by USAF pilots. In the event of an emergency landing or being shot down, the bright colour increased the chances of being quickly found by emergency services. Nowadays, this solution can be useful when walking on unlit roads.
Thermal strip and elastic cuffs
The MA-1 Heritage jacket fastening is a one-way zip with a synthetic leather puller, making it easy to use when wearing gloves. An internal thermal strip protects the zip, providing additional protection from the cold. Elastic ribbing at the collar, cuffs, and waist secure the jacket against the cold and improve the fit.
