I had the opportunity to use the dressing during a stay in the desert in Jordan (for sunburn). Without a doubt, it is very helpful and does its job. I definitely recommend it as an essential element of every first aid kit, especially for people who travel frequently.
Burnshield hydrogel bandage with dimensions 10 x 10 cm. Used, among others, by emergency medical units, the Fire Department and the military. It can be used during first aid for burns and as an emergency dressing when dealing with deep abrasions, open fractures and many other skin injuries.
The biggest advantages of the Burnshield dressing are:
. - effectively takes away heat and cools the site of injury,
. - has a soothing effect,
- painless dressing change - hydrogel does not damage granulation tissue or young epidermis,
. - during dressing change, all contaminants are removed from the wound,
. - prevents the wound from drying out and forming a scab,
. - protects the wound from contamination and possible infection,
- prevents the formation of hypertrophic scars,
- quick and easy dressing application.
Burnshield dressings are characterized by a compact texture that ensures even distribution of the cooling substance on the burn surface. The stable structure of the dressing also eliminates the risk of possible spillage or damage to the hydrogel. The advantage of the Burnshield product is furthermore the dressing is reinforced with non-woven fabric, which allows it to be quickly removed from the mold without the danger of tearing the hydrogel.
Burnshield hydrogel dressings are individually packaged in aluminum bags, which protect the dressing from sunlight and heat.

This dressing was recommended by an experienced paramedic from an ambulance in Mielno, where various situations occur. It's a product worth having both at home and when travelling.

The hydrogel dressing has a fairly universal size. I bought it for my tactical first aid kit (it can even be an additional piece of equipment). However, I also bought a similar product for the home first aid kit – I think it's good to have it, even if it never comes in handy.

I believe that such a dressing should be in every home or travel first aid kit. This is my first product from this brand but I have no reservations.

An effective dressing for wounds that are slow to heal – this is the opinion of the doctors caring for my loved ones. It's worth remembering that it can be used not only for burns, but also for suppurating wounds and those with exudate, as confirmed by the information on the packaging and online.

The dressing is quite large, it will be useful for treating burns or larger grazes.
