A home first aid kit is a collection of various types of medicines and pharmaceuticals that are found in the home. This first aid kit should include all the means that can be useful in the event of an illness, injury or accident. Proper and effective first aid can save someone's health or even life. The items in the home first aid kit are dispensed without a prescription, so anyone can compose it according to their own needs.

A first-aid kit for the home should contain basic bandages, medicines, as well as all necessary utensils. According to the DIN standard (German Novelty Institute - this standard is followed by various European countries, including Poland, although it is not regulated by law), each first-aid kit, depending on where it is used, should contain certain means. The equipment of a home first-aid kit can be divided into several categories: dressing means, pharmacological means and additional means. The first aid kit's dressing supplies can include: ordinary bandage, elastic bandage, triangular sling, dressing gauze, disposable gloves, sterile compresses and wound plasters. Pharmacological supplies include, for example, soluble lime, painkillers, anti-diarrheal drugs, wound disinfectants. It's a good idea to supplement equipment with any prescription medications taken by family members on a regular basis. Other useful supplies may include: hot/cold gel compresses, warming patches or saline or sea salt. Instruments that should be included in a first aid kit are, for example, tweezers or scissors for trimming bandages. The target content of a first aid kit at home is very individual and depends on the needs of the user. It is important to periodically review the first-aid kit - getting rid of expired medicines and replenishing missing supplies. It is worthwhile to reserve a permanent place for the first-aid kit and inform the household members where it is located, so that in case of necessity everyone can find it in a short time.

A home first aid kit is an essential source of resources with which to provide assistance in a domestic setting. In our store you will find a wide selection of first aid kits, including modular first aid kits, which can be one of many parts of a rich set of first aid supplies. You will find dedicated kits for specific cases such as hemorrhage, accident, burns or injuries. Tactical and survival kits are also available.
