Specna Arms Shortie-82 Radio

The dual-band transceiver Specna Arms Shortie-82, designed in collaboration with Baofeng, is intended for tactical, outdoor, and everyday use. The model has a maximum transmission power of 5 W and operates in the VHF and UHF bands, providing a wide range of communication possibilities. The device is equipped with a two-line LCD display, DTMF keypad, Dual Watch feature, and FM radio operating in the 65-108 MHz range. The set includes an antenna, Li-Ion battery, charger with a base, and a PTT microphone earpiece.

The transceiver features a solid body suitable for use in difficult terrain conditions. The large backlit LCD display allows for convenient reading of operating parameters and the status of active functions even in low light. The model has a DTMF keypad and a dual Push-To-Talk (PTT) button, which allows transmission on two different frequencies. The device operates in temperatures from -20 deg.C to 60 deg.C, making it useful both in winter and summer. The set also includes a belt clip, which facilitates carrying the transceiver.

The transceiver supports two frequency bands: VHF and UHF, allowing communication in different ranges. The model is equipped with a Dual Watch function, which enables monitoring of two frequencies simultaneously, even in different bands, and automatically prioritises the frequency with an incoming call. A keypad lock is used to prevent accidental changes to settings.

The transceiver is powered by an efficient Li-Ion battery with a voltage of 7.4 V and a capacity of 2800 mAh. Charging is carried out using a mains charger and the included charging base. The applied power-saving mode minimises battery consumption in standby mode.
