Sordin Supreme X2 Gel Headband Active Hearing Protectors – Green

Professional active hearing protectors designed with officers and shooting sports enthusiasts in mind. They perform well both in the field and on shooting ranges. Their compact design and the use of high-quality materials ensure comfort even during prolonged use. In accordance with current European standards, the Single Number Rating (SNR) indicating the expected sound attenuation, these protectors offer attenuation at the level of SNR 29 dB.

The functioning of the SordinHEAR2 sound system provides excellent audio quality and offers four sound profiles (Hunter, Shooter, Focus and Ambient off). Two waterproof omnidirectional microphones with high frequency accurately capture sounds from the environment, passing them on to the built-in speakers. Hazardous sounds are reduced to a safe level of 82 dB, while quiet ones are amplified.

The shaped headband is made from plastic and steel. The gradual adjustment system allows for optimal adaptation of the protectors to the user's preferences, and the folding design allows for easy transport and storage. The earmuffs are equipped with comfortable gel cushions, significantly increasing comfort. Thanks to the large and easily accessible function buttons, they can be operated in tactical gloves and under challenging weather conditions. They are suitable for both right- and left-handed individuals.

Powered by AA batteries or Sordin Power 14500 battery, allowing for up to about 400 hours of operation. Replacement requires only unscrewing the cover on the side of one of the shells. The device is equipped with a low energy level warning system (when the battery level allows for approx. 40 hours of operation) and a function of automatic shutdown after 4 hours of inactivity.

The protectors are equipped with a 3.5 mm AUX audio input, allowing them to be connected to devices such as a radio or mobile phone.

The Sordin Supreme X2 Headband model meets the following standards:

• SNR 29 dB - attenuation in accordance with the European SNR (Single Number Rating) indicator, which determines the expected level of noise reduction in a standard work environment.
• IP68 - the protection class of the battery and microphone compartment. Provides full protection against dust and resistance to water immersion up to 2 m for 30 minutes.
• EN 352-1:2020 - specifies requirements for hearing protectors placed over the ears, regardless of electronic functions. Confirms the noise reduction effectiveness through passive and active muffs.
• EN 352-4:2020 - concerns models with a sound level-dependent function. Ensures that microphones and electronics amplify quiet sounds correctly while suppressing hazardous ones.
• EN 352-6:2020 - standard for protectors with an audio input. Ensures that sound from external sources (e.g. phone, radio) does not exceed a safe level.
• MIL-STD 810 - American military standard specifying testing procedures aimed at verifying equipment's resistance to extreme environmental conditions such as vibrations, impacts, humidity, dust, frost, or high temperatures.
• Standard MIL-STD-461 - American military standard defining requirements for electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) of electronic devices, i.e. their resistance to electromagnetic interference and emission of such interference.
• ANSI S3.19-1974 - specifies the methodology for laboratory measurement of noise attenuation by hearing protectors, such as ear muffs or earplugs.
• RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) - product free from hazardous substances, such as lead, cadmium, or mercury.
• WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) - compliance with EU regulations regarding disposal and recycling of electronic equipment.
