Sordin Supreme X2 Gel Headband Active Hearing Protectors – Green

Professional active hearing protectors designed for military personnel and shooting sports enthusiasts. They perform well both in the field and on shooting ranges. Their compact design and use of high-quality materials ensure comfort even during prolonged use. According to current European standards, the Single Number Rating (SNR) indicating expected sound attenuation, these protectors offer attenuation at the level of SNR 29 dB.

The operation of the SordinHEAR2 sound system ensures excellent audio quality and provides four sound profiles (Hunter, Shooter, Focus, and Ambient off). Two waterproof high-frequency omnidirectional microphones precisely capture ambient sounds, transmitting them to the built-in speakers. Dangerous sounds are reduced to a safe level of 82 dB, while quiet sounds are amplified.

The profiled headband is made of plastic and steel. The graduated adjustment system function allows optimal customization of the protectors to user preferences, and the folding design enables easy transport and storage. The earmuffs are equipped with comfortable gel pads, significantly increasing user comfort. Thanks to large and easily accessible function buttons, they can be operated while wearing tactical gloves and in adverse weather conditions. They are suitable for both right- and left-handed users.

Power is supplied via AA batteries or a Sordin Power 14500 battery, allowing for operation of approximately 400 hours. Changing the battery only requires unscrewing the cover on the side of one of the cups. The device is equipped with a low energy warning system (when battery level allows for about 40 hours of operation) and an auto shutoff function after 4 hours of inactivity.

The protectors are equipped with a 3.5 mm AUX audio input, allowing connection to devices such as a radio or mobile phone.

The Sordin Supreme X2 Headband model meets the following standards:

• SNR 29 dB - this attenuation is compliant with the European Single Number Rating (SNR) index, which defines the expected noise reduction level in a standard work environment.
• IP68 - sealing class of the battery compartment and microphones. Provides complete protection against dust and resistance to water immersion up to 2 m for 30 minutes.
• EN 352-1:2020 - specifies requirements for hearing protectors placed on the ears, regardless of electronic functions. Confirms noise attenuation effectiveness through passive and active earmuffs.
• EN 352-4:2020 - pertains to models with a sound-dependent function. Ensures that microphones and electronics properly amplify quiet sounds while attenuating dangerous ones.
• EN 352-6:2020 - standard for protectors with an audio input. Ensures that sound from external sources (e.g., phone, radio) does not exceed a safe level.
• MIL-STD 810 - American military standard specifying test procedures used to check equipment resistance to extreme environmental conditions, such as vibrations, impacts, humidity, dust, frost, or high temperatures.
• MIL-STD-461 - American military standard defining requirements for electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) of electronic devices, i.e., their resistance to electromagnetic interference and emission of such interference.
• ANSI S3.19-1974 - defines the methodology for laboratory measurement of noise attenuation by hearing protectors, such as earmuffs or earplugs.
• RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) - product free of hazardous substances such as lead, cadmium, or mercury.
• WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) - compliance with EU regulations regarding the disposal and recycling of electronic equipment.
