I have been using this tent for over two years now – it has survived a hot summer (with high temperatures even at night), a frosty winter (down to -15°C), heavy rain, snowstorms, and strong winds. I am not gentle with my equipment – I have slept on uneven ground with roots and branches underneath, and the ground was rarely flat. After many trips (each lasting from 2 to 8 nights), the tent shows no signs of damage. The material is resistant to stretching – it neither cracks nor tears. Condensation inside? Yes, it happens – after all, it’s a bivvy, not a standard tent. Does it protect from rain? Yes, effectively. If you don’t have a sleeping bag, the inside might be damp, but you can still survive the night. At this weight (1.1 kg), you won’t find anything more durable that offers such comfort for sleeping.

The bivvy is very easy to set up and pack away, and it’s lightweight. During heavy rain, a large puddle tends to form around it. For me, there’s plenty of space inside and you can fit your luggage. Overall, everything is fine and the construction seems sturdy.

Unfortunately, despite using a breathable material and ventilation, condensation occurs on the walls. In heavy rain, I’m considering using a tarp to prevent soaking. The bivvy is very light and great for hiking.

I tested the tent in the summer in the mountains, often on clearings. Both pitching and packing it away are very quick. The tent is discreet, but it gets a bit stuffy during rain, especially when sleeping on your side rather than your back. When lying on your side, condensation appears on the walls. Usually in the morning, the top of my sleeping bag was slightly damp from dew. An additional advantage is the beautiful views visible through the mesh as soon as you wake up.

I've been using the Snugpak Stratosphere for two years now and it works great. It's low, making it ideal for discreet camping. Very easy to set up and pack away. It doesn't leak in the rain, but there is condensation – the manufacturer fairly warns about this, so I have no complaints. It's hard to expect that there wouldn't be any in a single-layer tent – it’s a natural physical occurrence. Therefore, I recommend using sleeping bags or blankets that are resistant to water. It gets warmer inside since you generate your own heat, which in summer can be a disadvantage when it’s closed during rain, but in autumn and winter it allows you to sleep with a lighter sleeping bag or just a blanket. The length of the tent allows you to store your gear inside as well – it’s best to put your backpack behind your feet so rain doesn't pool on the material. There’s plenty of space for small items next to your head, and there’s an extra pocket there too. Once packed, it doesn’t take up much space in your backpack. The Stratosphere is fully sufficient for me for outdoor overnight trips. Maybe a bigger tent would be more comfortable, but it would be harder to carry all your gear in a backpack. After all, it's not just the tent and sleeping bag we take on an expedition. I recommend this tent to all minimalists and stealth camping enthusiasts. The price is high, but here you don’t have to worry about broken poles in the frost or bent pegs when pitching the tent.

It is compact and lightweight, exactly what you expect from this type of equipment.
-
My first impressions are the compact dimensions and low weight for a tent – it’s even smaller than some summer sleeping bags.
-
I like the idea for this product. It’s cramped inside. During a heavy, prolonged downpour, it did not leak and nothing dripped on my head. I do not regret spending the money, even though the price was high.

It meets all my requirements.
