Rockland Comet Food Thermos 500 ml - Red

This is the first thermos I’ve ever had like this. Until now, a thermos was just something for carrying coffee or tea. I have to say, it’s a very convenient way to have a hot meal with you, without needing to cook it on the spot (which usually takes time). I definitely recommend it.

The flask has an attractive appearance. When first screwing it shut, I was a bit concerned because the thread seemed a little crooked, but the flask is airtight. It proved itself during an autumn trip to the Pieniny mountains – the soup I made in the morning was still hot in the late afternoon. I recommend it.

The flask works excellently, is solidly made and does not leak. Food keeps warm for a long time. Its shape is a big plus, as it takes up little space in a backpack, still fitting a hot meal.

I highly recommend this flask, it maintains the temperature very well, is sturdily made, and I have no trouble opening it. So far it doesn't absorb odours. Most heat escapes through the lid, but a simple trick with aluminium foil between the lid and the bowl keeps the temperature 1-2 hours longer. After 6 hours, soup is still very warm.

This little thermos with a capacity of 0.5l is perfect for day trips, as it keeps food hot for over 12 hours and warm for even longer.
