Outdoor Edge RazorMax Knife - Orange Clam

The fixed blade knife from the Razor series features a replaceable blade system, suitable for various tasks. Blades can be easily and quickly replaced without the need for additional tools, using a dedicated locking mechanism in the handle. Blades with Upswept and Drop-Point profiles are made from stainless steel 420J2B, known for its high corrosion resistance and ease of sharpening. The handle, made from thermoplastic rubber (TPR) in orange, provides a secure and comfortable grip even in challenging conditions. The set includes a sheath made from durable plastic.

Steel 420J2B

The knife blades are made from stainless steel 420J2B, which features high corrosion resistance and ease of sharpening, making it easy to maintain the edge sharpness. After heat treatment, the steel achieves a hardness level of 52–57 HRC, ensuring good flexibility and resistance to damage during intensive use.

Satin-finished blades with Upswept and Drop-Point profile

The RazorMax has three replaceable blades with an Upswept profile measuring 127 mm, and three Drop-Point type blades measuring 89 mm. The blade surfaces are finished using the satin method, giving them a semi-matte appearance, enhancing aesthetics while reducing the visibility of scratches during use.

TPR handle, jimping

The ergonomic shaping of the handle is made from thermoplastic rubber TPR. The non-slip texture, a distinct cutout for the index finger, and jimping on the back of the blade allow for a secure grip and control of the knife, even with wet or dirty hands.

Nylon sheath with pocket for replaceable blades

The knife is equipped with a strong and lightweight sheath made of nylon, featuring a belt loop for attachment. A snap closure secures the knife from accidental withdrawal, and an internal plastic insert stabilizes the blade and protects the sheath from damage. An additional pocket closed with a Velcro allows convenient storage of replaceable blades.

TPR feature
TPR

TPR, or thermoplastic rubbeTPR, or thermoplastic rubber, is a material that combines the properties of rubber and plastic. It is flexible and durable, and is often used in the manufacture of tool handles, gaskets, footwear, and many other products, as it provides comfort, good grip and wear resistance.r, is a type of synthetic material that combines the properties of rubber and plastic. TPR is characterized by its flexibility and abrasion resistance.

420J2 feature
420J2
420J2 steel is a martensitic stainless steel with a lower carbon content, popular in the production of knife components such as scales and springs. It contains between 0.26% and 0.4% carbon, which ensures moderate hardness (52-57 HRC) and ease of machining, while maintaining good elasticity. Chromium (12-14%) gives it very good corrosion resistance. Manganese and silicon improve hardenability and strength, while low sulfur and phosphorus content reduce the brittleness of the material. Despite its lower hardness, this steel still retains its advantages, such as very good corrosion resistance and relatively low processing costs.
Satin feature
Satin
Satin finishing is one of the most popular blade finishes, achieved by grinding the steel with fine-grained abrasives. Parallel micro-scratches remain on the surface, giving the knife a technical, matte appearance. Satin finishing has both aesthetic and practical significance - a smoothed blade is easier to clean, and the slightly reduced friction promotes smoother cutting. Depending on the direction and intensity of polishing, different effects are achieved - from a matte finish to an almost mirror-like finish. Satin is valued in both utility and collector's knives because it emphasizes the structure and quality of the steel while maintaining functionality.
