Outdoor Edge RazorMax Knife - Orange Clam

The fixed blade knife from the Razor series features a system of interchangeable blades, suitable for various tasks. Blades can be easily and quickly replaced without the need for additional tools, using a dedicated locking mechanism in the handle. The blades with Upswept and Drop-Point profiles are made of 420J2B stainless steel, characterized by high corrosion resistance and ease of sharpening. The handle made of thermoplastic rubber (TPR) in orange color provides a secure and comfortable grip even in challenging conditions. The set includes a sheath made of durable plastic.

420J2B steel

The knife's blades are made of 420J2B stainless steel, which is characterized by high corrosion resistance and ease of sharpening, making it easy to maintain the cutting edge sharpness. After the heat treatment process, the steel achieves hardness levels of 52–57 HRC, providing good flexibility and resistance to damage during intensive use.

Satin-finished blades with Upswept and Drop-Point profiles

RazorMax has three interchangeable Upswept blades measuring 127 mm and three Drop-Point blades measuring 89 mm. The blade surfaces are finished using the satin method, giving them a semi-matte appearance, enhancing aesthetics while reducing the visibility of scratches that occur during use.

TPR handle, jimping

The ergonomic shape of the handle is made of thermoplastic rubber TPR. The non-slip texture, distinct finger groove and jimping on the blade's spine allow for a secure grip and control of the knife, even with wet or dirty hands.

Nylon sheath with a pocket for interchangeable blades

The knife is equipped with a strong and lightweight nylon sheath, featuring a belt loop. The snap closure secures the knife from accidental release, and the plastic insert inside stabilizes the blade and protects the sheath from damage. An additional Velcro-closed pocket allows convenient storage of interchangeable blades.

TPR feature
TPR

TPR, or thermoplastic rubbeTPR, or thermoplastic rubber, is a material that combines the properties of rubber and plastic. It is flexible and durable, and is often used in the manufacture of tool handles, gaskets, footwear, and many other products, as it provides comfort, good grip and wear resistance.r, is a type of synthetic material that combines the properties of rubber and plastic. TPR is characterized by its flexibility and abrasion resistance.

420J2 feature
420J2
420J2 steel is a martensitic stainless steel with a lower carbon content, popular in the production of knife components such as scales and springs. It contains between 0.26% and 0.4% carbon, which ensures moderate hardness (52-57 HRC) and ease of machining, while maintaining good elasticity. Chromium (12-14%) gives it very good corrosion resistance. Manganese and silicon improve hardenability and strength, while low sulfur and phosphorus content reduce the brittleness of the material. Despite its lower hardness, this steel still retains its advantages, such as very good corrosion resistance and relatively low processing costs.
Satin feature
Satin
Satin finishing is one of the most popular blade finishes, achieved by grinding the steel with fine-grained abrasives. Parallel micro-scratches remain on the surface, giving the knife a technical, matte appearance. Satin finishing has both aesthetic and practical significance - a smoothed blade is easier to clean, and the slightly reduced friction promotes smoother cutting. Depending on the direction and intensity of polishing, different effects are achieved - from a matte finish to an almost mirror-like finish. Satin is valued in both utility and collector's knives because it emphasizes the structure and quality of the steel while maintaining functionality.
