A solid spade with considerable weight and durability, sits well in the hand. No wonder similar models were used in the trenches decades ago. The only caveat: you need to sharpen it yourself, but that's typical for new tools.
A sturdy Field Shovel with versatile dimensions, inspired by the classic World War II field shovels. It will prove useful both when working in the garden and as a piece of camping equipment in the field.
The blade is made of carbon steel hardened to a hardness of 45-48 HRC. The sharpened edge makes it easier to cut through roots and work in hard ground.
The handle was created from turned, lacquered ash wood, known for its high impact resistance.

An excellent entrenching tool! I bought two so I could jump into cold water from 30 metres with them! Very durable – I threw it against various things and nothing happened to it. It also served as a frying pan for cooking food. It’s also suitable for chopping down trees, and digging is no problem for it.
-
I definitely recommend it. I bought it for a camping trip, and now I keep it in my car – especially handy in winter when setting off. For better root cutting, I sharpened it myself.
-
I bought it to use with a metal detector and it fits great in the case. It works well for digging – its small size is sometimes an advantage, other times a drawback. After sharpening, it handles cutting roots excellently.
-
It’s a classic tool that’s worth having in your kit – I recommend it to everyone.
