The SWR indicator is a bit above the range, but the antenna works so well it's hard to believe. I intend to buy a second one. I have already tested dozens of antennas and combined with the RA-89 it creates a set that even puts my superheterodynes and Yaesu in the background. I highly recommend it.

The antenna is excellent. I am amazed by its outstanding transmitting and receiving performance. It works superbly on the 2m, 70cm, and PMR bands. It is very light, flexible, and thin – it does not strain the socket, and you can even bend it into a circle. It fits Midland PMRs after installing the appropriate socket, as well as all dual-banders of various brands, from Baofeng to Yaesu. In some cases, all you need is a 'barrel' type connector for a small fee, so the antenna fits any transceiver socket and can also be mounted on a magnetic base in the car.
