I highly recommend both these gloves and the KSK Platinum account. Exchange of goods is quick and free of charge, shipping is free for any amount, and thanks to KSK points you can get up to 30% discount. Thanks to these advantages, my whole family has been equipped with Mechanix Wear ColdWork Winter Utility gloves – Black (a total of four pairs). I have previously described the advantages of these gloves in detail, but one review suggests they aren't typically tactical, despite the name. When buying the first pair based on the description and photos, I immediately saw that they were not suitable for carrying wood. I mainly use them for mountain tourism and, together with my family, we are very satisfied.
Mechanix Wear ColdWork Winter Utility Tactical Gloves - Black
Tactical gloves equipped with PrimaLoft Gold synthetic insulation. Designed for use in low temperatures. Effectively protect against the cold and at the same time protect hands from abrasions and cuts. Thanks to the proper fit, they provide full grip control.
Damage-resistant weaving, softshell material, touchscreen support
The model was sewn from lightweight yet durable fleece. The upper part of the palm and fingers was covered with softshell fabric, which effectively protects against wind and moisture. The fabric, which was used on the grip side, protects against wetness and allows touchscreen operation.
The materials used in the production are durable, windproof and quick-drying, which makes the gloves suitable for a wide range of applications.
PrimaLoft Gold synthetic insulation for thermal comfort
The lightweight PrimaLoft Gold synthetic insulation effectively warms the hands and guarantees optimal thermal comfort in harsh weather conditions. It features excellent breathability and prevents excessive overheating of the hands in gloves.
Thanks to its hydrophobic properties, the filling provides thermal insulation even when wet, making the gloves a suitable choice for unpredictable weather conditions. The upper side of the gloves uses an insulating material with a grammage of 40 g/m2, while the grip side uses a grammage of 60 g/m2.
Elastic cuffs and snap buckle
The model is equipped with elastic cuffs, which are responsible for a very good fit at the wrist. A practical snap buckle allows you to join the gloves together, which makes them much easier to carry and store.
EN388-3222X and EN511 standards
The gloves meet the protective standard EN388-3222X for resistance to mechanical actions, which means:
- 3: abrasion resistance (on a scale of 0-4)
- 2: cut resistance (on a scale of 0-5)
- 2: tear resistance (on a scale of 0-4)
- 2: puncture resistance (on a scale of 0-4)
Cold protection is in accordance with EN511 at level 21X.

I definitely recommend this model. After positive winter experiences, I bought a second pair for my wife. I love the cold, so for me these gloves are very warm. During a 10-kilometre walk at -8°C, in light hiking clothing, I didn't sweat, I was a bit chilly, but my hands stayed very warm. The PrimaLoft insulating material is the best choice on the market, so the result must be good. However, it's worth remembering that the feeling of warmth in products like sleeping bags, jackets, gloves or socks is very subjective and depends on the user.

These gloves are not designed for very low temperatures, but they provide comfort around zero. They are made of pleasant material, fit well on the hands and should last a long time. They do their job well.

These are good gloves. Because they don't have extra protective layers, they are perfect for everyday, civilian clothing. They provide good insulation as long as there isn't a strong wind – it's a pity they don't have a membrane to protect against that.

I bought the gloves in December 2024 and have not had a problem with cold hands since. These are good gloves for working outdoors, although I haven’t had a chance to test them in severe frosts yet. At temperatures around 3–4 degrees above zero, they perform brilliantly. I recommend them.

I can recommend these gloves with a clear conscience. When choosing, I didn't rely on the description, and the reviews of similar models weren't reliable. Why? The PrimaLoft insulation used is the best material available on the market (its quality matches the original Polartec or Gore-Tex). Such gloves from renowned alpinist or ski-touring companies would cost at least 200 PLN, so this Mechanix model is almost like getting them for free.
